Default Colloidal Silver - Did I take too much?

Yesterday I had a severe case of the flu (or possibly a bacterial infection). It was so extreme I had most of the symptoms of meningitis (thats what worried me, the main symptom was a pain in the back of my head and neck). I decided to make some colloidal silver so I hooked up 3 9V batteries up to some silver wire in distilled water and left it about 3 hours. When I came back there was a fair bit of black stuff build up on both electrodes. Over the course of the day I drank most of the glass of this stuff. I noticed that when I got down near the bottom of the glass it started tasting way more concentrated, it would tingle my throat as I swallowed it. Anyhow I woke up this morning with my blankets and bed drenched with sweat and I feel fine apart from one thing. My stomach is killing me. It was hurting my the whole night because I remember waking up intermittently due to the pain. Could the colloidal silver have caused a stomach ulcer? The stuff I drank was probably way more concentrated than what is recommended and I probably drank a huge quantity of it. I need to know what the problem is so I can decide the right course of action to take. If its an ulcer(s) I'll just take acid inhibors and let it heal.

I doubt the colloidal silver caused this. My silver maker automatically stirs the solution during the making process so the silver is evenly distributed.

If you do have an ulcer, ulcers are caused by bacteria so I don't see how silver could have caused this. Taking an antacid to cure the ulcer may or may not work and most likely not. It will only mask symptoms. I certainly would not count on it. Generally acid in the stomach prevents ulcers as it kills pathogens in the stomach. The pathogens that cause ulcers are not as sensitive to the acids number one, or number two, there is not enough acid in the stomach to kill them.

I know people who have taken gallons of CS over a week or two and this did not happen.

H-Pylori, the bacteria that causes stomach ulcers has the ability to burrow itself in the mucosal layer away from stomach acid. It's a well evolved little critter that has very good survival skills.
I also don't see how the silver may have cause or exacerbated your condition. If anything, it made it more bearable.

Thanks for the reply. I'm using a ghetto silver maker that consists of 3 9V batteries, a couple of pieces of silver wire, some copper wire + alligator clips, some blu-tac and a glass of distilled water so I have no idea what PPM the stuff I make is or what size the colloids are. An ulcer is just a rupture in the lining of the stomach so it doesn't have to be caused by bacteria. For example taking too much ibuprofen causes stomach ulcers. An antacid neutralises the acid in your stomach, an acid inhibitor stops your stomach from producing acid. If I'm not mistaken, acid inhibitors are the main type of drug prescribed for stomach ulcers. Antacids do help though, the idea is to lower the acidity in the stomach so that the ulcer can heal. I think the bacteria you're thinking of is heliobacter pylori. That strain of bacteria has been linked to gastric ulcers but I don't know the specifics. I read that it colonises the ruptured tissue present in ulcers so maybe this strain of bacteria requires acidic conditions to live and by lowering the acidity you kill off the H. pylori which would ordinarily prevent the ulcer from healing.

Drinking gallons of diluted CS is not the same thing as drinking concentrated CS. An analogy is alcohol. You can drinking a whole keg of beer without risk of damaging your gastrointestinal tract. A mouthful of pure alcohol on the other hand may burn the lining off your esophagus.

Like I said H Pylori aren't the only thing that causes ulcers. Chemicals can cause them too. The pain disappeared for at least 5 hours and I can feel it coming back a bit now. Its the same kinda pain I get when I get diarrhea. It comes on rapidly and it gets pretty intense. This pain even comes with diarrhea so thats one symptom that may indicate its not an ulcer. It might instead be a stomach bug but how could bacteria have survived in my stomach of all places?

Your stomach acid is your first line of defense. However, bacteria certainly can overwhelm this process. As we age (around 40 and up) we produce less acid. That's just the first problem. Remember eColi and salmonella certainly make it to the intestines. Also, probiotics can make it there in great quantity if you take enough of them and take them with a meal, or take them with enteric coatings. Taking antacids can destabilize the digestive process as well. For example, candida can transform from yeast to the more aggressive fungi in the presence of alkaline pH, and that is only slightly alkaline as the body will continue to try to keep you in balance.

That depends entirely on the organism you're dealing with. In some cases it is their first port of entry. For example there is a certain parasite, can't remember the specific one, might be tapeworm, the eggs can remain dormant and inactive for years and when ingested by an animal (or human) the acid in the stomach activated the eggs and the parasite begins infecting the host. Some strains of bacteria can only live in the acidic conditions of the stomach. Some strains can only live in the alkaline conditions of the intestines.
