Recently, we have discovered bach flower remedies... My daughter has been suffering from depression, and being a first responder to an auto accident, seemed to just bring everything to a head. I had already found an article about the carbo vegetabilis, and suggested to the daughter that she talk to her chiro about this.... Him and daughter did some talking, and he ended up recommending the 5htp along with the bach flower remedies of pine and sweet chestnut. And she is also taking the carbo vegetabilis.... We were amazed at the changes, so amazed, that I cant quit talking about it. but now I want to find out more.... Running into problems tho trying to read around the grandchildren... summer is here, so I sit for all of them until school starts..Wondering if maybe I need to find one of these remedies to keep my head together... any way, I was talking to one of our members, about the remedies, and she agreed maybe I needed to go ahead and start a thread. So, My two basic questions are...
1. I have a 12 yr old grandson... always mean and hateful... wishes his brothers and sisters were dead. Plays only killing games on the dern games... thinks hitler and the likes are cool! Now I personally believe that part of his problem is the games, and the lack of time from the parents, but Im hoping I can find something that will help him with this hate and anger...
Question #2. the daughter is being deployed again come september... She has seen first hand how well the bach remedies work. She wants to take a few of the remedies with her to put in her med bag.. no, she isnt a medic, but alot of soldiers carry their own medical bags just in case. She is planning on getting the one for trauma, I think it was called rescue remedy, but was wondering what would be the best ones to take with her... any suggestion?
The bachflower remedy site has training... Actually, they have someone teaching the classes in houston in october and november... Im going to make some phone calls and find out how affordable this is... https://www.bachremedies.com/training.aspx

Hi Arrow All my grandchildren have had some stressful years. I have had three of my kids deploy... His dad was in Kosovo for a year, and his uncle and aunt were both in Iraq for a year. His mother's brother is now on his second deployment in Iraq and his aunt,(my daughter) is also deploying again. To me, he seems to be a really sensitive kid. He is so soft and sensitive to the baby cousins. And has moments where he is so loving...He fears bad weather, and being alone after dark, although he keeps telling everyone he is old enough to be left alone... Im sure he feels embarrassed because of these fears, because he tries so hard to hide them. He is a very fast learner, is on the honors list in school. but seems to get in trouble alot at school for fighting. When parents are gone, he does fairly well. if its just him and not the brother and sister, he is excellent.. hard worker, willing to help out with anything... but if siblings are around he is mean and constantly bullying them... He seems to do better at everything if he is alone, but just doesnt seem to get along when brother and sister are around... Sister just turned 11 and brother just turned 9.. He gets really super angry at me, when I wont let him play those violent games over here, or when I make him change the music that he plays on the youtube... I dont allow the sexual music or the violent crap, or the ones with the filthy language.... other then that, Im ok with the rap or hiphop or whatever he wants to listen to style wise, Im just not as lenient with the lyrics or the videos.. So when he gets caught trying to sneak this stuff, he gets pissed and starts ranting and raving about how he hates it here, and he hates this family and he wishes he had a different family.. and then bullies the rest of the kids for the rest of the day.
Thought I'd share my little experience with Bach Rescue Remedy. I initially bought it to give my dog right after a seizure, because I read that it would calm them down. It just irritated her more, and after the second try, I figured maybe it was the alcohol in it that annoyed her, so I never gave it to her again.
Since I had almost a full bottle, and my nerves have been frazzled since the start of her seizures in February, I tried it repeatedly myself. It did nothing at all for me, and I won't be buying it again.

Hello kind2creatures
Bach Rescue remedy is great for things like emotional trauma or anxiety states such as fear of public speaking. In the case of a seizure I wouldn't expect it to work, you would need regular homeopathy for that. The flower remedies are superficial and only work on the emotional realm, not the physical realm. Have you tried the remedy Aconite? It is a common homeopathic remedy for mental shock after a trauma such as what you're describing. If it's very severe you could go as high as 1M. 200C would also do the trick.
I had the opportunity to give Rescue to someone who had a grand mal seizure right in front of me. Later the young man came to thank me, although he didn't remember much if anything of the seizure itself, his friends said that the seizure was much shorter than usual and the part he did remember was that he didn't suffer from as long a recovery afterwards. I don't know if this is a common experience but I had heard similar reports which led me to try it. But I think you are right. To get rid of the disease homeopathy would be the way to go.
Aconite is good to for shock and fear... as well as the first remedy to take when you think you feel an illness coming on...kind of when your not even sure what kind of illness you may be getting, within the first hours.
Rescue really changed the personality of my cat. I was amazed! I was told to give it to her by a vet homeopath when I had to take my two cats cross country, which required being in a cat carry case and visits at hotels. Not one peep out of them on the whole trip! It use to be that just going around the corner would freak them out... and Jessica, who was very independent even submitted to a leash and to use a kitty box in the hotels which was amazing since she never used a box and always insisted on going outside. She had been a cat that would never sit on your lap or allow petting. All that changed after Rescue. I do know that she was raised in a house with many other cats and they had to hunt for their food because there was never enough and she never learned to be affectionate...so I do see that some deep seated healing went on after Rescue. I think I may also have given her crabapple, shortly after the trip was over.

Yep this pretty much covers my boy. Except maybe the dark thing...We live out in the country... He is ok with going outside after dark and playing hide and go seek or even just taking out the garbage...Its the idea of being home without adults after it gets dark that bothers him... Im not sure if that makes a difference.
ok. to the questions.
I have not heard about or seen any signs of sexual acting out.
dont know about dreams
impulse control seems to be pretty good. He basically knows when to keep his mouth shut. and he does seem to stop and think about things before he goes running off to do.
Doesnt cry often, but when he does, he tries very hard to hide it
Attention problems only when he is involved in one of his games or a movie... other then that, no.
From what I have ever seen, if he doesnt get his way, or if someone slights him... accidently hurts him, or says something mean. he does have to be provoked to get angry, but sometimes, it just seems like he wakes up in a angry mood
He doesnt get sick very often, I dont recall too many fevers, and none lately..When he does get sick, he is just like his uncle... let him sleep it off and he will wake up fine.
I think the kid has a good grasp on life... In my opinion, he might be a little bit older for his age. For some reason, all my kids, and now this grandson seems to get along better with folks in an older age bracket. Its as if they actually should have been four or five years older then what they are.
I havent seen any sunlight issues
he does wear contacts
No reactions to vacinations that I remember..mom makes sure he gets all his shots, and does the dentist trip regularly. yeah he probably gets the floride.
No issues regarding the head (except he has the family hard headedness) About a year or so ago, a teacher thought he might have tourettes syndrome (sp) But nothing ever happened with it, he never went to get tested. He did go to his regular GP, and he said to just keep an eye on him, if it gets worse then they would scheduale test...I never saw an issue, not even sure why the teacher thought that
no respiratory problems, no urinary problems, no incontinence that I know of, no genital problems, no skin problems... He does show signs of IBS everyonce in awhile... He is learning that certain foods like pepperoni pizza give him stomach pains and diarreah. again, this would be a time when he would just go lay down and sleep for a few hours and then get up going normal speed
No peculiarities in stance or anything, to me, he carries himself well, he doesnt slouch, has an air of ??? Im not sure how to describe it..its like he knows he is special, and he is trying to hide that specialness. At times he seems really shy, and bashful, and then at other times he seems really brash...
I made a comment tonite, and it brought him to tears..said something about him complaining about not wanting his sister around, and he was shocked that I would believe that he meant the mean things he said... Yes he agreed that he says alot of things in anger, but would never mean them... he was totally flabberghasted that I would think he meant them... so after a day of attitude, him and I spent time sitting outside just talking, enjoying each others company...then when he came in, he wanted to watch one of those history documentories on tv with me.... ended up the other kids jumped in the pool about ten, so they all had a great time together... it makes no sense... he can be so difficult, and then so great
He doesnt come from a rich family, but they have never had to be on food stamps or welfare, they have had a few times where meals were sort of spare, dont get all the toys they want, but dad gives them more then what dad ever had... Dad works full time, is also national guard, and then helps with the kid activities... like he is involved with little league this year.. mom works full time and is doing the college thing on line... both boys are in baseball... this grandson is an excellent player, has been asked to join some special league... It seems like he is also taking band in school, but I dont remember what. He is good with animals. Im thinking thats about it.... oh, he loves to send text messages!
Keep Jasmine oil in your medicine box for seizures.... the minute they start feeling that funny feeling that comes right before the seizure, let them take a couple of good whiffs of the jasmine... Or if they are in a seizure, whiff the jasmine under the nose... It seems to stop the seizures...Told our neurologist about this and he said, oh jasmine, yes very good for seizures, works good.

Thanks for the suggestion just me, but after doing a quick google, I think I'll pass on this one. Hard for me to wrap my brain around how the oil can be beneficial, while the plant itself can cause convulsions in dogs and even death. Too close for comfort!

Now I am not familiar with this use of Jasmine but it is because that it can cause convulsions that it is more likely to cure convulsion than not.
This is a demonstration of the law of similars. In homeopathy was causes can also cure, if correctly applied. Homeopathy is the only system of medicinebased on principle for the development and use of any remedy, either plant or otherwise.
The scent of Jasmine may be just dilute enough to effect a cure to a seizure. The next question is, is it actually similar enough to completely cure a case. It may not cure all cases but it may cure some if its similarity is close enough.
So now I turn to my homeopathic remedy guide and I find Jasmine Officinale listed and here is what the books states:
Jasmine O. has not been used in homeopathy but the poisoning cases shows that it is a very powerful drug. The convulsive symptoms were better by a bath. Symptoms go from above downwards and from left to right.
Muscular movements observed first about the eyes and face, especially on left side towards which eyes and facial muscles were directed, becoming generally more severe, going from head to left arm, then to left lower limbs, until finally the whole body was thrown into most violent convulsion.
The only observation on the plant is one made by W H Hall on a boy who ate the red berries. They produced a comatose state, vomiting and convulsions ending in tetanus. (not the tetanus as we know the disease, likely a locked ridge praralysis state of the musculature)....so this is a proving of Jasmine Off., of the plant in its original state, as opposed to a proving done with a homeopathic preparation as defined in the above link.
Sources: Boericke. Clark.
So from this above "proving" I would venture to say that there is a theoretical possibility that Jasmine could cure some cases of seizure when made into a homeopathic preparation...and it makes me wonder if Jasmine might be an East Indian Remedy already. I wish I had a remedy guide for the Indian Remedies.
