Default Ordering a Quantiferon-gold tuberculosis test w/out insurance or doctor

My prospective employer refused my religious objection which pissed me off, but allowed me to take the Quantiferon-gold test on drawn blood. The problem is I have no insurance and no doctor, so I am in a bind.(Previous discussion: https://www.natmedtalk.com/f24/26705-...e-refusal.html ) The employers doctor was quite rude and refused my request to write a prescription for the test, as the Nurse objected saying they would have to pay for it! But that is nonsense, a Rx just gives you permission for medical services, I would have to pay. Now I may have to scramble to find a doctor and get into a tussle to pay him to write an Rx and also pay for the bloodwork and actual test!

Hopefully tomorrow my mom's boyfriend's doctor will write a script for me. So far I have called every lab and hospital in NJ listed here:
https://www.cellestis.com/IRM/content/us ... feron.html
But I cannot find a single lab that will do this without an Rx so far. Is there such a lab? And no one can tell me how much it would cost, one helpful lady told me it MAY cost $100 but she is not sure. I found this site that offers everything needed included an Rx for $150 and they list several labs in my area:
https://www.accesalabs.com/tb
However they mention:
https://www.accesalabs.com/myTiters
"You cannot get your specimens collected in MA, MD, NJ, NY or RI."(What does that mean?)
I also tried cold calling many labs via the phonebook but I got home by 4 pm and most labs were closed.

I really need to get this done quickly and fax the the results so I don't miss the orientation for the job, but I also don't want to pay through the nose. I really hate dealing with the medical system in this corrupt country, it always leaves me feeling so abused and powerless... I don't understand why I cannot just get a simple blood test because I want it. Does anyone have any help or suggestions?

It means the Overlords elected by the majority have decided what is best for you because you're far to stupid to look out for your own welfare. Or, they get too much PAC money from a competitor to allow such an outrage.

I don't really know how one would get their blood drawn, but once they had the vial in their mitts, it could be sent FedEx to the lab, from Dr Thrasymachus.

Could the Doc that may write the prescription have his nurse do the draw and ship the vial?

Update:
My mom's boyfriend's doctor will write an Rx, but he is closed this Wednesday and will open Thursday. However if it can lead to me getting the results sooner I may try an urgent care doctor as they used to dealing with unfamiliar patients and try getting it today. Does anyone know if urgent care doctors are much more expensive?

Also I am have trouble determining when I can get the results by. I called the Valley Hospital in Ridgewood, NJ listed here and they informed me that they run the test on Tuesday, but I can get blood work before then and they will store it. However that lady who I talked was the one who said she believes the price may be about $100 for the test... I will try to call their billing dept. Bio-Reference Lab called me and told me it cost $230 for an uninsured person.

It is overall just such a demoralizing pain in the ass to deal with the medical system when you are uninsured and have no primary doctor. The medical system doesn't respect the right of people to regulate their own bodies you have to represented and dictated to by insurance and a doctor.
