Default Serrapeptase, opinions please

At the local watering hole, there is this young (35) guy who comes in; nice guy, who has some type of "inflamation of unknown cause" in his knees. I gave him a tube of ketoprofen gel and he said it woked somewhat. The next thing I would like to try with him (and he is open minded) is serrapeptase. I want to give him some 40,000 IU capsules and tell him take 1 on an empty stomach, the next day take 2 and stay with that for a few days. Does this protocol sound decent?

As you know, I really like and use serrapeptase.

For the use of 2 of them, I would recommend 1 in the morning at least 30 min before breakfast. ! in the evening before bed. Do not take with probiotics. The do work together, but I have a feeling that the enzymes might do damage to the probiotics as they are being introduced to the body. That's a lot of enzymes.

As you know, I also like nattokinase, especially for inflammation. Here is something else that may help. Contains nattokinase.

Thanks. He said he takes osteobioflex (boswellia). The ketoprofen worked somewhat and he told me (which is weird, since I only know him at the bar) he will try what ever I give him. In other words , his faith in medical docs is disappearing.

Then lead him to nattokinase.

Quote:
Nattokinase has been shown to augment bone density, aid joint pain, assist in the management of migraine headaches and alleviate exercise induced joint and muscle pain. In ancient times the food Nattō was also used for its antibacterial effect to prevent cholera, typhoid and dysentery (Sumi H. Healthy Microbe "Bacillus Nattō". Japan Bio Science Laboratory Co. Ltd.).

I use serrapeptase on occassion and recommend it frequently and find it helpful more than 60% of the time.

It may help any type of inflammatory process, from injury, RA, osteoarthritis, sinuse condition, and other pains or congestions that have inflammation associated.

I usually start people on 40,000IU, two caps twice a day. if the condition is severe, 3xday. Then I tell them if they have any positive results to keep at it for a while. If it helps but noT helpful enough to increase to 3 caps 3xday or continue with the 2 caps but 4 times a day.

After a while most people find that after the inflammation is down, they can reduce to once a day and at a lower dosage or only take when needed.

I have the serrapeptase book that this is typical standards for dosages.

Thanks. I told him when I give it to him, he has to take it on an empty stomach (even though they dissolve in the intestine), preferably first thing on waking up and wait an hr before eating.
