Question Taking Areds eye vitamins with a past history of breast cancer

I have moderate macular degeneration in one eye (the dry kind) and my eye doctor advised me to take high powered vitamins to try to stop the progression of the disease. I had breast cancer 25 years ago and have tried to watch anything that has estrogen activity. I'm pretty sure vitamin E has estrogen activity so I'm afraid to take it. I don't see my oncologist any more after all these years and my family doctor doesn't think much of vitamins and didn't really give me an answer. Does anyone know how to find out if I would be safe taking the eye vitamins? I don't want to go blind so I'm feeling scared.

You will be fine, or you can take lutein with zeaxanthin capsules, 200 IU vitamin E capsules. Once a week take 2 mg copper and 15 mg zinc. Also take pycnogenol a few times a week and grape seed extract a few days a week

I am taking the lutein and zeaxanthin but am worried about taking the vitamin E because of the estrogen activity. From what I've read on line the vitamin E and the rest of the AREDS formula are important to stop the progression of the macular degeneration disease. It has high dosages of zinc as well.
