I did not realize that about oregano extract, and am happy to see green tea. I thought perhaps olive leaf extract would show up on that list. Instead they have listed olive fruit extract. Love those olives. Can't take bromelain, as I'm allergic to pineapple. That is a common allergy that most folks don't realize.

Among the best antiinflammatories, many of them are also antioxidants:
Blood donation (dumps excess iron and molybdenum, mayor inflammatories and oxidants. Everybody talks about antioxidants but nobody abouts oxidants and inflammatory substances that should be avoided or eliminated), licorice, curcumin, beets (beet root), mashed garlic, papaya, betulin (black cottonwood sprouts), aloe vera gel, alcohol in small amounts (a glass of wine or a shot of gin with a meal per day), silymarin (milk thistle extract), nicotine is a powerful antiinflammatory in small doses (patches to avoid the cadmium and other toxins in cigarretes). Few things reduce inflammation and edema as well as hot brine baths, especially if a glass of water with a teaspoon of sodium bicarbonate is drunk before a half hour bath in a tub with 2.5 to 3 kg of table salt. This is the fastest, cheapest and safest way to treat the painful swelling during a gout attack, etc, fasting or reduced caloric intake is another great way to treat inflamation.
It's nice to see MSM acknowledged in the listing. I've been using an MSM cream for years for back aches and headaches and after 10 to 15 minutes it is very effective in lessening or getting rid of both maladies although it should be used carefully as it carries other substances into the body with it. (ie: soaps, lotions or other creams used on the skin.) I'm very familiar with many of the other items listed also. Good list.

I take MSM (Methylsulphonylmethane) 1,000mg capsules almost every day, along with Turmeric, fish oil, etc.
Never tried the MSM topically, never thought it would carry other substances into the body though, are you sure about that?
Our bodies produce MSM when we have plenty of copper and eat plenty of protein. However, with age we retain less efficiently the copper in food and the deficiency worsens with time if we don't take Cu supplements.
Cu is necessary for enzymes involved in the production of MSM, collagen, dopamine, melanine, etc, all of which drop with age and for enzymes that eliminate inflammatory histamine, homocysteine, super oxide, uric acid, etc, which rise with age, causing considerable damage. Cu is also necessary to reduce iron uptake in the gut when we already have plenty of iron (hepcidine, a Cu protein blocks Fe absorption), so Fe uptake may increase with age.
Cu is also necessary for iron mobilization from the liver to bone marrow to make hemoglobin, so eventually there can be anemia, eventhough there is plenty of or even excessive Fe in the liver.
1 to 2 mg/d Cu is very inexpensive and helps considerably men over 40 and menopausal women, unless they have Wilson'd disease, a rare genetic disease in which there is massive Cu accumulation in liver, brain, etc,
I want to add 2 things. If you are going to use Curcumin, make sure BioPerine is added to allow for higher absorption and also I wanted to add the Serrano pepper. It is a wonderful anti inflammatory

Far, far better than bioperine would be to take proteolytic enzymes along with curcumin. Many herbs, especially turmeric, are inhibited in their action by proteins. This is why it is best to take healing herbs on an empty stomach. Taking proteolytic enzymes along with such herbs will certainly enhance bioavailability of them. Nattokinase is a great one to take for that purpose. Nattokinase enzyme also goes to the blood stream and helps to make the platelets more mobile and will actually cure thrombosis by dissolving blood clots. Serrapeptase is a strong protease too, but can't manage the stomach acid pH and has to be coated. Bromelain would be good.
Proteolytic enzymes or protease can be used, in part, to digest complete proteins that are in meat. Yet, outside of meals, they have been harnessed for a multitude of healing processes, sometimes exclusively and sometimes in conjunction with other therapies. When not used for digestion in the small intestines, these enzymes are free to roam through the blood stream seeking to break down hard protein, fibrin surfaces, scar tissue, granuloma, and even cancer cells' tough coatings.
Piperine (bioperine is just a brand name) inhibits the liver enzymes that eliminate curcumin (and many medications and toxins), extending its life time and hence its activity about 20 times. It is interesting that the combination of two spices (black pepper and turmeric) can yield such a powerful antiinflammatory.
Normally proteins have to be broken down by our proteases into hundreds of amino acids, so they can enter the blood stream. Nattokinase (a rather absurd name for a protease without kinase function) is a huge molecule that can only gain access to the blood stream by surviving our proteases and then dissolving its way through the gut. Although I would not hesitate taking it to dissolve a clot if I didnt have fibrinolytic enzymes available, In normal conditions, I don't like the idea of having a protease that resists my proteases and dissolves its way through my tissues in my blood stream and prevents clotting if Im involved in an accident or develop internal bleeding.
While most fibrinolytic enzymes used in medicine are administered I.V. and disappear after minutes of busting a clot, preventing a bleeding episode, nattokinase lingers for hours.
Oh yeah. I forgot. One other thing, besides protein, that can interfere with digestion of many herbs. Tannin. Tannins are good for you, but they do bind to digestive enzymes in the small intestines and can interfere with carbohydrates and proteins digestion. How many times have you asked for tea or even coffee with your dinner? Might not be a problem, because there might not be enough concentration of tannin to cause such interference. But if you are trying to heal yourself with herbs, it would be best not to take the chance. Empty stomach is best. Remember that protein takes longer to digest than other nutrients. It does not matter what digestive or bio-availability enhancer you use, other than enzymes, think of things that would be an obstacle to getting the herb to the right places.
In the plant, tannins are defensive compounds that counteract bacteria and fungi by interfering with their surface proteins. The sensation of astringent taste is caused by the tanning of the proteins in the saliva and mucous membranes of the mouth; lubrication is reduced and the surface tissues actually contract.
