No Jamba Juice stores near us... But our health food store does sell wheat grass juice. I assume its probably not as healthy as fresh squeezed... can I grow wheat grass and just juice it myself?

I have a juicing book... I dont remember the name of it.. but it shows what juices to drink for different ailments. Thank you for reminding me, I will pull it out.

Can I start doing a light weight lifting program now? I am hoping to do more exercises. But I do understand that my body is running on low-grade fuel, and I dont want to overdo or burn out...

Thanks for all the info, and the caution... I do appreciate it very much... I will keep you all posted on where I am at

First few weeks of lifting, go lighter. As a rule, 12 and 20. If you do weights and can do more than 20, you need more weight. If you can only do less then 12, you need less weight. After 3-4 weeks of this, then you can add more weight.

Saved, I assume you mean to do 12 and 20 repetions? I have never done weights before, this will be something new for me.... Ive always just done like regular exercises, the oxycise tapes, richard simmons exercises...not the arobics, but the regular old fashioned exercises.... Can you recommend a site or a book/dvd???

Would it be safe to do a parasite cleanse or maybe the diametrious earth now? I mean we are cleaning everything else out, I figured I might as well get a really really good cleanse right?

thanks everyone for all the help... you are awesome!!!

Wheat grass requires a special juicer... I use to have one. It kind of looks like manual meat grinder but a little different. I do think they make electric ones these days but you cant juice it in a regular juicer. My guess it that who ever sells wheat grass juice in your area makes it fresh frequently. Call them and plan to pick it up shortly after they juice.

I don't know about any books on weight lifting (perhaps at the library) as Is when I started it I did it in a gym and just did what other people were doing. Posture is very important, keeping your posture right. I wouldn't start weight lifting until you are eating plenty of protein as muscle requires protein to do its work.. without it you will just tear down further what muscle mass you do have.... this is why vegetarians often do not, and people who fast frequently don't have a normal muscle mass.

Thanks Arrow, I will check into the wheatgrass.

If I am taking in protein, in the form of broth, comfrey tea, and protein shakes(soon) will that not be enough protein for me to do weight lifting?

Not unless your up to about 40 grams a day or more.It has to be enough to build muscle.

I don't think this is a theory! Sugar and simple carbohydrates are the main source of nutrients for yeast so you will crave these. The cravings can be extremely overpowering. It takes a lot of willpower to ignore these cravings.

For me, when I had candida it was: "You WILL go to the store and buy pie dough and eat it." I thought raw pie dough was the confection of the gods. When I was being treated for candida I thought about sweets and bread-typed things all day and dreamed about them at night.

After I was cured I found that I wasn't even a sweets person, more of a savory person. That was a real surprise to me. I probably already had an addiction, outside of the candida and cutting those things out cured that. Now I rarely eat sweets unless it's dark chocolate and never eat bread and rarely eat pasta. Give me sauces, yum.

When you are starting off, if you can do more than 20 reps, the weight is too light and if you can do less then 12 the weight is too heavy. Follow this for a minimum of a month (2 if possible). After this break in period, the same rule holds, more than 20, you are not doing much, between 12-20 you are toning, below 12 reps you are building muscle.

Just me, I had a personal trainer back when I was in the work force before devoting to mommyhood. He was THE BOMB!!! But I bought a book that had many of the same type of exercises he was having me do. They were multi-tasking the musclular system so to speak which was very effective.

The book is "Making The Cut" by Jillian Michaels.

Looks like Target sells it:

U&Iraok, my problem isnt sweets as much as it is bread. I love bread, and biscuts and anything that has dough... yeah, I have never been officially diagnosed with candida, but I am guessing I do have it.... At this point, 22 days into this, I havent had any real cravings yet. Was sort of expecting to. The daughter in law made her meatballs with mushroom soup gravy the other night, and I really really wanted to eat that...was totally tempted with it...but I just went to my room and didnt venture out to the kitchen again that night. Yea for me!!!

Saved and mommysunshine, thanks for the info.. I will check into the book.
