i need help with weight loss. Ive posted in a few sections here and i cant find a thread or forum that can answer any questions. Ive been looking into a weight loss pill and i cant decide which oe to take. I want to use one with the acai berry because ive head that its a superfruit and tis potent. I also hear that there are alot of acai scams out there on the net. does anyone know the nature of the scams? and the product that i was looking at is called cenalex. has anyone heard of it and are there any reccomendations? i dont want to take something that wont work. they say that they are the official acai berry weight loss formula. what does that mean?
I think ALL of the Acai berry stuff is a Scam as far as weight loss is concerned.
Save your money! There is NO magic pill for weight loss! As Arrow said, you have
to burn more calories than you consume. Cut out sodas, sugars, white flour
products and eat veggies, fresh fruits and salads with XVOO and apple cider
vinegar.

My overall feeling on weight loss supplements is that a really well put together product can help but only in addition to the absolutely mandatory dietary and lifestyle changes needed.
Obesity is a known cause. It's not a mystery, it's not a secret. The key to balanced weight is to eat a good diet and engage in regular physical activity. There isn't a pill in the world that will work without these factors taken into consideration.
The same wisdom can be applied to attaining a healthy weight. There is a known method that works 100% of the time. It has never failed and will never fail. It's not a secret and it's not new. It's eating a good diet and engaging in regular exercise.
There are a handful of supplements made that support balanced weight. Green tea (Camellia Sinensis) is a basic. While Green tea does contain caffeine, it also contains L-theanine, which is a nerve relaxant. This is a great example of the wisdom of nature. A plant that has a stimulant and a counter balancing relaxant. Brilliant design. Once again, I have to take my hat off to Nature.
Drinking a lightly steeped cup of green or white tea 3-4 times a day will promote health and support healthy weight loss. By lightly steeping, I mean to keep the herbs in the hot water for only 60 seconds or so. This is because the calming agent, L-theanine, will dissipate after around 60 seconds and then only the caffeine and a bitter tasting tea will be left. The amount of caffeine is about a fourth what would be found in a comparable amount of coffee. A typical cup of coffee has around 40 milligrams of caffeine, a cup of green tea has about 10.
A formula I feel good about is made by Michael's Naturopathic Programs. It is called Ultimate Diet & Energy. It contains a variety of vitamins, minerals, herbs and supplements that support healthy weight loss without being loaded with stimulants. It does contain about 12 milligrams of caffeine but it is in the form of green tea and yerba mate', both great healing herbs with thermogenic (calorie burning) properties.
This product is meant to be used as additional support while also eating healthy and exercising. It is not necessary, the eating habits and exercise will totally do the job by themselves, but the product can help. The product will not work by itself. They say as much on the bottle.
For what it's worth, the best tips for eating healthy are as follows;
Eat a diet consisting primarily of fruits, vegetables, nuts (a small handful of walnuts or almonds a day), seeds(especially shelled hemp seed and sesame seed), gluten-free grains (quinoa, millet, amaranth, buckwheat, and brown rice), and legumes. Reduce or eliminate meat, dairy, refined grains (like wheat, rye), refined sugar, deep fried foods, and processed foods.
Use a wide range of herbs and spices; lots of garlic, ginger, onions, cinnamon, curry blends, and peppers. Mustard seed is a great thermogenic and is much healthier and lower in calories than mayonnaise.
Thanks to everybody for sharing their thoughts on this forum. Have a good one.
Dont waste your time with pills. You simply need to change your thinking about food and your lifestyle. Start by taking a simple 30 minute walk per day. Cut down on the soda, booze and drink water. Obviously cut the fatty fried foods as well. Now look, dont try to climb mount everest in one day ok. These are meant to be gradual changes, so in the end it becomes a complete lifestyle change. Also talk with a doctor if "you've tried everything & nothing works" Alot people say that. Dont get frustrated and bummed out. Keep trying, thats the important part.
All I do to turn my weight around is to eat more protein and less carbs from sugar and grains.
Vegetable carbs are fine, with the possible exception of Potatoes and Corn, which are very high in starch.
Farmers feed grain to animals to fatten them up. You can never fatten an animal up with protein. It simply digests to slowly to convert to fat. Animal fat is OK in moderate amounts, but no extremes.
There are some bacteria in the gut that contribute to weight gain. A low dose regimen of Miracle Mineral Solution may get rid of some of this. I noticed after I used it for a while, I had more difficulty gaining weight. I am not positive this works, but it is an area that needs more testing.
I agree with all that has been said. There is no magic pill to help one lose weight. The only thing that works is to eat less and eat the right kinds of food.
The problem with all of the diets that are out there, even the ones that actually get you to loss a few pounds, is they do not change your eating habits. Thus once you are finished with it and if you go back to eating the way you were you will regain whatever you lost.
Thus you need to do two things; one come up with a diet that has less calories and two most importantly this diet must contain items that you enjoy eating. If it does not you will not stick to it and like all the others in the long run it will not work.
Exactly, you literally have to "change your thinking" for humans beings its probably the hardest thing for us to do. Actually harder then losing the weight itself, LoL Kind of ironic. If we could change how we view the world most of our fears and problems would melt away, just like the weight.
