Default Advice needed, pinched nerve

From volunteering at our local greek festival in mid late june, I cannot walk any furthur than 2 miles without my right thigh numbing up and burning. I tried some stretching exercises and felt just a very very light pain in my lower back, slightly to the right. Any suggestions (once I sit down for a few minutes the numbness and burning go away)

Sounds like a pinched nerve. Possibly meralgia paresthetica? see you doctor, it's highly unlikely to be dangerous or anything but you should still get it seen to in order to relieve your symptoms

Could it be a muscle adhesion or a knotted up muscle that's pressing against the nerve? If you can pinpoint the area, maybe massage with something like a rolling pin will help the muscle return to normal. Sounds like you'd have to work it daily, in a kind of 'rolfing' way, to break it up...if that's the problem. Also, a heat wrap like Therma-Care (x-large for back and hip), wrapped around the thigh overnight might assist in relaxing the muscle, they stay warm for a good 10 hours.

Thanks guys, that was in 2010. I went to a massage therapist at the gym. before I went, at 2 miles on the track or treadmill, I would get the leg/thigh burning numbness. Had a 30 minute massage (she said my lower back war really tight). After that I could do 3 miles. A week later had an hr massage. Problem solved. Thank God.
