Default I have to get taller

I'm 16 and I'm a sophmore in high school. I have been talking to my football coach, and he says I have the ability to play in a division one school. However, I'm not tall enough right now. I'm around 6'0 or 6'1. I need to be at least around 6'3. I don't want anything more than to play in a division one school. Please give me some pointers to naturally increase my height. I have heard I can stretch to increase height, but I've also heard there isn't a way to increase height. Can someone please give me clarity on this?

I don't know much about football, but I find it hard to believe that a 16 year old that's already over 6 feet tall, is not qualified to play in a division one school. I don't think there's any way to become taller, and I would just advise you to take good care of the body you have, stay fit and healthy. I'd get another opinion about the height qualification.

Your 16, you still have 2-4 more years to grow. Do not worry about things like that, you will be fine. Worry more about your studies.

Height is mostly genetics, but sure food and supplements may help a little bit. Make sure you are getting as much sleep as possible as I've heard 95% of growth happens while sleeping.

I would take a multivitamin

After graduating high school I was amazed how much the guys changed in regards to height when I saw them a couple years later.

I think the best thing you can do is to stay away from soda because it's high in phoshoric acid which will pull out minerals your bones need for proper formation. You want strong bones. Don't want anything to break.

Start learning to eat clean which means get sugar out of the diet and eat nutrient dense foods like cod liver oil, green leafy veggies, beans, rice, and organic meat.

Drink lots of water. Look into spirulina and chlorella. They are nutrient superstars.

Good Luck!

Look into Vit. D too. It helps your body absorb calcium.

You're 16? You still have a year or two of the (male) teenage growth spurt to go yet. I would expect your final height to be one or two inches taller than you are now. (That is continuing exactly as now re diet and exercise.) which will take you to your desired height.

A healthy diet is the key.

As for stretching exercises, I really don't think that is a good idea. The body will grow at its own pace, if you try and force it you could do yourself harm re later arthritis.
