Arrow Blood Pressure Regulators

Here's an article about natural herbs and supplements to control high blood pressure...

Quote:
It is called “the silent killer” for a good reason. High blood pressure (hypertension) often damages artery walls without symptoms until something drastic—such as a heart attack or stroke—occurs.

That’s why keeping your pressure at normal levels, even if you feel fine, is crucial to maintaining your health. One recent study found that treating prehypertension, a reading that falls between 120 to 139 mg/Hg systolic (the top number) and 80 to 89 diastolic, can reduce stroke risk by 22%. Researchers have also discovered that controlling pressure in middle age can reduce your lifetime risk of developing heart disease or stroke.

As with other cardiac risk factors, proper blood pressure control starts with healthy diet, adequate exercise and regular stress relief. In addition, natural remedies exist that can help keep your pressure at normal levels.

Oh. Regulators. I was thinking monitors. I have an arm monitor and a wrist monitor. The wrist one consistently gives much higher readings than the arm one.

There are very many causes of hypertension. It is difficult for allopaths to find the right regulator.

It is even difficult for naturopaths. Mine has recommended various herbs as well as arginine (amino acid) and niacin (vitamin). Exercise is high on the list for both natural and mainstream docs.

That's the key. Understanding what is causing your hypertension so that can issue can be aggressively addressed until the symptom is gone.

Perhaps a trial and error for each of the main causes until healing occurs is what is needed.

What are the main causes of high blood pressure?

Stress
clogged arteries

Those are the only two I know of off hand.

Just went to the nat med wiki that kind2creatures linked. There are many factors. Let's go through them.

Olive Leaf extract is very good also for lowering BP

A reading that falls between 120 to 139 mg/Hg systolic (the top number) and 80 to 89 diastolic, can reduce stroke risk by 22%.

My readings are always well below those numbers.
I tend to think the BP machines at the DR's are calibrated high to start with.
