Default Helicobacter Pylori - Nasty!

After suffering with a long list of stomach and other complaints my wife discovered she had Helicobacter Pylori. She was prescribed a two week course of anti-biotics and proton inhibitors which failed to clear the problem up.

We have researched the internet for natural remedies and decided upon Mastic Gum Capsules which she started taking on Saturday 10th March, 2012. Her diet is a nightmare! After a week of eating salad and veg she lost 8lbs which she can ill afford to do as she is already too thin! Plus the salad and veg diet left her feeling always hungry!

Nix should not eat processed food, spices, tomatoes, warm meals and hot drinks - I'm sure I've missed a lot out! But she has returned to eating what she shouldn't because of her drastic weight loss and 24hr hunger! Hoping that Mastic Gum Capsules do the trick and rid her of H Pylori.

The Mastic Gum regimen in 2 x 500mg Capsules at bed time for 28 days. Nix is banking on these to do the job, so fingers crossed! She is currently experiencing severe stomach pains which may either be due to her eating processed foods again (although she is still eating salad and veg as her mid day meal plus she is still off the coffee) or the Mastic Gum killing off the H Pylori.

We would really appreciate hearing from other members who have H Pylori and how they are dealing with the problem, preferably the natural way! A big plus would be to hear from people who have used Mastic Gum and how it affected them. We also came across another natural remedy - Virgin Coconut Oil, which cured some people of their H Pylori; again if their are any members who have tried VCO we'd love to hear from you.

Finally! Nix would benefit from returning to the salad, veg and fruit diet. Again its a plea to the members for meal ideas to stave off hunger and weight loss!

Foods Nix must avoid include margarine, butter, wheat, gluten, tomatoes, salt, pepper and spices. She can only use Hemp Oil and Olive Oil as dressings. I am also starting to change what I eat and cut out many processed foods, so I can actively support my wife. I have a problem though - I have no large or small intestines due to bowel cancer! So I am obliged to eat a certain amount of stodgy food to help thicken my output (my small intestine is now an S Pouch), I am fortunate not to have a colostomy bag (when I had one it almost caused renal failure and I had to have an emergency operation to make my S Pouch operational). I spend an awful amount of time on the toilet! Some visits can last up to 5 hrs! What a pair we make!

Here are some links about H Pylori and Mastic Gum and Virgin Coconut Oil. Also found out that Manuka Honey is good for the fight against H Pylori!

I'm sorry your wife is suffering so, I have no advice, but here is an article that touches on the subject of Mastic Gum that you might want to look over...https://www.healthyfellow.com/433/mastic-gum/

K2c,

many thanks for the mastic link, much appreciated as always.

I said to Nix their would be two people who I knew would respond, and your name was the first one I said! Please know that I truly appreciate what you do, you are a rare soul who always tries to help with peoples health problems.

K2c - Take a bow! Your a STAR!

This is day 5 of the Mastic Gum protocol, and today is her first pain free day! Nix is very happy!

She is drinking plenty of water, taking pro-biotic drinks, and also taking vitamins and supplements. We are making some tasty juices too, and my favorite so far is apples and pears with a plumb and blueberries! Lets hop this is the start of the end of H Pylori! It has been responsible for so many different ailments from headaches, skin rashes, nausea, bloating, aches and diaorrea.

We make a right pair!!!

Namaste,

revzen

Thanks for the kind words, and for sharing the good news, I'm so pleased to hear that she is feeling better. It's great that you're making such healthy juices, it makes being sick almost fun when you can heal with a devoted partner. You and Nix are very blessed to have each others love and support. I am also lucky to have a very caring husband for over 35 years now, it means so much.

Mastic Gum tablets appear to have worked! My wife has been able to eat without suffering, we have widened our food scope and make most of our own meals from scratch. Great fun too! Big bonus for me is not seeing my wife suffer

Although I am about to post about another problem she has Catch me on me next post!

I'd tell you to make sure your wife is taking a good quality probiotic, but you already know that..
