Question Whooping Cough

So, a child in my son's Pre-k room came down with whooping cough. The medical field wanted me to put my son on antibiotics. I declined. I have two other sons. One is 8 and the other is 10 months. I have started giving my two older boys Emergen C drinks and Immune vit besides their normal daily vitamin. For my ten month old I have been rubbing his feet at night with garlic oil and run the Humidifier with Eucalyptus Oil and peppermint oil at night, just in case. Any thing else I can do? My youngest is not breast fed anymore but, eats a lot of veggies and fruit. I have been making a lot of soups filled with veggies.

Hello upstategirl, welcome! The things that come to mind are vitamin D3 and probiotics, also increasing their water intake daily. Sounds like you're already taking good precautionary measures, good for you! Perhaps a saline nasal rinse and more frequent nose-blowing may help.
