The US is already getting debris from the Japanese disaster, and that is just the leading edge of massive more to come. All of this contributes to the filth in the Pacific. Who's responsible enough to try to clean it up.

No one so far, until it hits the beaches anyway.... and if all that plastic stuff from Japan is showing up now, you can be assured radioactive particles released into the water is coming with it. Just why would one come without the other?

It will be cleaned up when someone figures out an efficient way to recycle it and make a profit going it.
