Seems like most people who develop such gardens and run into conflict with regulations win.

these people need to install a retaining wall to hold soils back from errosion into the sidewalk and street... you would think that folks that are into sustainability would recognize that.

Get with the times, man; It's called a 'solar' or 'wind powered' clothes dryer, much easier for people to accept.

I must say, when I lived in Dallas, in a poorer neighborhood, two doors down a Mexican family moved in. Between the houses were 4 foot chain link fences and they hung their laundry on them. They were always covered with laundry... I didn't like it one bit looking at their nasty underwear and really its hard not to look! We moved away shortly after they moved in.... thank god.
