I definitely suspected it at first. But after reading the article, I could not find the role of blood glucose levels in this condition. It seems more like a lack of "brain insulin" production. And since insulin is a protein, probably a lack of protein?

This article is to me another sign that an Alzheimers vaccine to control plaque in the brain could be very dangerous. They just don't know what they are doing and are a long ways away of understanding brain microbiology.
