Does anyone know of any good home remedy for treating mouth irritations? I have raw, infamed tissue inside my cheek & in the crevice beside my bottom teeth. It makes eating very difficult.
Swill colloidal silver around for a minute, then swallow it - several times daily - should clear it up in no time. If it is not starting to improve in a day or so, double the amount and fequency of the CS.
Also address any nutritional deficiencies to prevent it recurring.

Thank you for that info, however I don't have any of that around & in this town, I don't know where I would find it, so if there is any other things that might help, please let me know. I have been rinsing with salt water, but not helping much.
Eve, first figure out why you have this inflammation.
1- Change your toothpaste to something that does not have the same ingredient as the one you are using now.
2- Change your toothbrush
3- Eliminate certain foods that you eat often, and see if it gets better. Because food allergies can cause this.
4- You might have a yeast overload. Take something for it see if it helps. My son gets canker sores everytime his yeast goes up... Unfortunately I have to give him a pharmaceutical Deflucan for two days, and it goes away.

Have the same problem of availability here - had to buy it online until we bought our own generator.
Take a mega dose Vit B complex tablet 2 or 3 times daily, and take plenty of Vit C, packing some Vit C powder imade into a paste with some water nto the inflamed crevice and against the sore cheek as often as you can. Sterilise your toothbrush with some hydrogen peroxide daily.

The toothpaste that I using is from the dentist called Prevadent. Right now, though since it's so painful, just rinsing a lot & not brushing for fear of further irritation. I did get a kids small & soft Toothbrush. I also have been rinsing with something called Peroxyl four times a day. Is this good? I would have no idea of what food to eliminate...as bad as it hurts today, I may not be eating at all! Thanks for the suggestions.

I take the Standard Process supplements three times a day, so should have the vit B & C covered. I will add acidopholus three times a day also. As I mentioned in the other post, I am rinsing with Peroxyl 4 times a day. I just wish that it would start huring a little less, instead of more!
Thanks,
Eve
PS: On another board, a dental technician had suggested that putting Malox or something similar in your mouth & holding it there for a few minutes, then spitting it out, helped speed up the healing. Have you ever heard of this one? Sounds very bizarre to me...
Eve, I have heard of baking soda, instead of Maalox, however I have not tried it, I think the idea is to alkalize it so the acidity won't hurt it more. There is a lot to the Vitamin C suggestion... I use Standard Process products too, but I think you might want to add a Buffered Vitamin C at hight doses.. the amounts might not be enough from SP. Go for at least 2000 /day .
Another thing I found on Google is folic acid rinse. Just google it to find how to get it.
Do you take any pharmaceutical drugs? There are many that can do this according to what's on Google.
Are you under tremendous stress in your life?
You really have to find the cause if you are going to get rid of this.
Yes, I am on several prescriptions...after having a heart attack last year, they put me on Lipitor, Plavix & Toprol XL, also take Synthroid for underactive thyroid. Thanks for all your help.
Eve, it would be great if you could googel each and everyone of those pharmaceuticals and see if any one of them has such a side effect, or call your doctor and ask.
If you have a heart condition, it is important to get rid of the gum inflammation as there are reports of heart problems caused from inflammed gums. I really think you need to give your cardiologist a call, just to let him know that you are suffering from this condition...

Don't worry, if this doesn't start to feel "some" better in a few days, I will be calling some kind of Dr., although I can't take the steroid cream they prescribe for these, as I'm allergic to it. I kinda think that mine is caused by an auto immune reaction to the metal in my partial & that it fits poorly. In doing searches, I find quite a few reccomendations of using colloidial silver & also of dabbing milk of magnesia on it several times a day to heal & relieve the pain, which I must say is quite horrible today. I would give anything if I had both of those in the house today! I have been using the orabase at night, but it's too expensive to use all through the day...but I "do" need to find something to relieve this pain. It hurts to eat, talk or anything that requires me to move my mouth!
Can you buy some colloidal silver online? My herbalist used to have it at my door via express post within 24 hours, and he lives in a regional town several hundred kilometres away from me.
It is the only thing I can think of that brings relief so quickly - sounds like you need it last week...

You are so right! I am hoping that maybe the Health Food store here may have some, I am going to check tomorrow. If not, then I will order some!
Is there any way of reducing your prescription meds? Should think that they are instrumental in your problem. Guess not much can be done about the thyroid apart from making sure you have absolutely no soy products in your diet, but Lipitor is a huge concern.
Lipitor, like all statins, blocks the body's production of Coenzyme Q10, which is essential for many bodily functions, especially gum and mucous membrane health, and heart health. Lack of this substance can cause gum infections and/or heart failure. Seeing as gum infections are linked to heart problems as well, statin drugs deliver a double whammy to your heart.
Coenzyme Q10 is likened to the "spark plug" keeping the heart "firing", so if there isn't enough, the heart can simply STOP.
Google "Lipitor+adverse effects" and look at what comes up. My OH insisted on taking it against my advice - it didn't reduce his cholesterol, so they doubled the dose - the side effects were horrendous, and he almost lost his job because of the way it affected his brain, with memory lapses etc. Thank heavens he saw what it was doing to him and he threw the pills in the bin!
Lipitor's manufacturer knows of the Q10 problem, as it actually patented a Lipitor/Coenzyme Q10 product, but never produced it - guess it thought that by acknowledging the problem publicly, people would realise that statins were seriously flawed.
Years ago I had major gum infections, and my holistic dentist put me on Coenzyme Q10 supplements and the use of Hypercal tincture (homoeopathic) as a mouthwash, and actually injected into the infected gum pockets via a special syringe - worked wonders. Nowadays I just use CS twice daily to keep everything under control.

I was going to try to locate some of this tomorrow, but I was doing some research online tonight & read some pretty horrible case histories of people who turned grey & it said that it is not reversible. So, I am now questioning if this is safe to use or not. I want some relief, but I don't want to end up worse than I am!
