Interesting, but my father in law is another one who gets eaten alive by bugs, and he is superhealthy...

And our dog got a tick last year that resulted on borderline lyme readings (since totally blitzed) and he is healthier than we are!

Having said all of this, this summer I am in better shape than I have been in a while, and I'll be implementing a lot of these suggestions, so let's see what happens -

I have already started on the Vit B and have sourced staphyagrya, so I'll give it a go for sure.

Well, here is the end of the summer report:

Started taking B complex back in May, upped my garlic consumption and stopped the bananas...

3 bites all summer!

That has got to be a record, normally it would have been at least, 3 a day! I'm ecstatic, to say the least, a minus a lot of little scars all over!

Having said all of that, the comment about being unhealthy... over summer I have really made an effort to go more natural with supplements and foods, I lost a lot of weight and started doing more excersise, so maybe that has helped also....

So, now, do I keep taking the B vitamins throughout the year or just re-start again next spring?

Thanks again for all your comments!

Hi Marilyn, thanks for the update and congrats on the weight loss! Bug bites aside, I think that a B-complex is a valuable supplement to take year-round.

I agree with kind2creatures Marilyn. B complex all year. It is great for stress as well as "winter blues". The B5 part of the complex is required by the adrenals for its own functions. I have a psychologist friend that advocates the B complex for the children. B50 is all that is recommended. Any more, and it will be eliminated from the body. Don't worry about build up. It is a water soluble vitamin. You can get it with food, but it is better to be more consistent by taking a supplement.

Unhappy Weird bug bite

Over a week ago, while camping in the woods, I was bitten/stung on my arm by some kind of bug. The mark was unusual...a tiny red pinpoint. It itched in the entire area, and gave the sensation of repeated stings, even though there weren't any more.

Well, today...I'm sitting here still scratching at that same arm. The arm from elbow to wrist itches, and every now and then gives a weird pricking sensation. It doesn't only itch at the pinpoint.

Now, I'm seeing 4 red pinpoint marks in that area . Anyone ever have this type of bug bite? I'm going to take some Benedryl now, thinking it may be an allergy to that bug venom.

could it have been a spider? when we lived in Australia I got some weird bites, which I almost always went to the doctor for (everything is poisonous!) and one was a spider bite, but not deadly, just annoying... sounds sort of like yours -

has the Benadryl helped?

I could've definitely been a spider, there were many of them and webbing across the pines and spruces. I hate going to doctors, won't do that unless my whole arm turns black, lol. The Benedryl did help, it's not bothering me now. Thanks for your reply.

I hate doctors as well, but over there you never know if you're going to need an emergency antidote at a moment's notice LOL

Glad the benadryl is helping - itching can be so annoying!
