Default Personality change in transplant recipients

How does one explain these strange events, where the recipient of a transplanted organ takes on some of the personality of the donor?

Maybe the woman drove both of them to suicide.

My cousin has lived with the same transplanted heart for 25 years or more. He's a talented artist and sculptor. I wonder if his heart donor was artistic?
