About A New National Health Care Plan
I have prepared this letter to send to my congressmen and senators regarding the proposed development of a national healthcare system.
I'm sharing it with you so that if you feel inclined you can send a copy to your state reps. and anyone else you can think of. You will need to edit paragraph 2 and 6 to represent more specifically your view point and states interest. Here are sites to find your congressional and senate leaders, both federal and state reps: Congress.org Home and the whitehouse: Contact Us Dear Congressman (Senator) In light of the proposed development of a universal system of health coverage for American people as presented by President Obama I am writing to you to encourage you to understand the need for inclusion of Naturopathic Physician Care into any bill that might be passed. I have been a nurse for 27 years and have seen the miracles as well as the pitfalls of conventional medicine. Although there are many cures there are many failures which now include an epidemic of resistant bacteria, obesity, diabetes, heart disease and cancer. This has come through in part but largely due to the failure of the conventional medical system to understand and teach about right diet and detoxification. They have not awakened the masses to the dangers in the modern kitchen nor the dangers of drugs which kill millions while the FDA has turned its head. Many millons of people are now choosing alternative healthcare options as their primary source of healthcare. They either determine their own treatment or they seek out alternative medicine practitioners of a wide variety. The Naturopathic Physician has arrived into our system of healthcare out of the frustration of many, and though the diligent work of natural empirical scientists around the globe over the course of thousands of years of study. Now they are coalesced into a force and a legal framework and are taking the work of the natural remedy to new levels in scientific investigation. Naturopathic Health Care needs to be included in any national program of health to address our nations philosophy and commitment to freedom of choice and the pursuit of happiness. In Utah, Naturopathic Physicians are licensed and working diligently to bring alternative choices that work to the people. Statewide we also have a thriving industry of manufacturing of alternative health products that go out across the nation to supply people with the options they seek. The following quote is from: STATUS, TRENDS AND OPPORTUNITIES IN THE LOCAL NATURAL HOUSEHOLD AND CONSUMER PRODUCTS INDUSTRY Prepared for Eugene Mayor Piercy’s Sustainable Business Initiative (SBI) “Utah may have the strongest natural products sector in the country. Utah Natural Products Alliance supports Utah’s $3 billion dietary supplements industry (which encompasses more than just natural products).” https://www.uoregon.edu/~cwch/publica...dcts021606.pdf In light of this realization the promotion of Natropathic Healthcare is good for the economy of Utah.. Naturopathic doctors are trained at accredited four-year naturopathic medical schools and licensed as primary care providers in 15 U.S. states and the District of Columbia and US Territories, including most of the western states. NDs are educated as general practitioners who specialize in natural medicine and focus on prevention and treatment of disease, and use a variety of treatment modalities such as nutrition, herbal medicine, homeopathy, and lifestyle counseling to restore and maintain good health. NDs can perform complete physical examinations including women's health exams and can order laboratory tests and diagnostic imaging. To become licensed, NDs must also pass a rigorous board examination to show competency to practice. They also can prescribe many controlled medications such as antibiotics, IV medications and within certain specialties and states they may also manage pain with prescribed narcotics. I was pleased to see President Obama call together a preliminary conference on health care on March 4th. I was dismayed that no representative of Naturopathic Medicine was present. Naturopathic Health Care can provide a level of preventative care that would reduce the frequency and cost of illness that conventional medicine is incapable of. It could significantly reduce spending in all arenas of care from pediatric to elder care. It can also help in providing greater success in cancer care through reducing drug toxicity and all the side effects of chemotherapy. I suggest that avenues be created to bring leaders from the Naturopathic educational institutions of our nation into the fold to discuss and determine just how Naturopathic Care can play a role at uplifting the health of our nation. I have provided for you a list of the states that currently provide licensed naturopathic care as well as the institutions that train Naturopathic Physicians. I urge you to take these considerations to heart and to represent all the people. Sincerely, Currently these states and US territories License Naturopthic Physicians. Your Government is corrupt to the core, all the way to the top. Therefore, they will do nothing to improve healthcare until after the revolution, which will occur within the next 24 months.
At that time, people like Ron Paul (and other HONEST people) will get elected and then true change can occur. Your letter won't make a difference I'm sorry to say, however, I commend you for being a nurse for 27 years. I can imagine that you've seen antibiotics given out like candy, and now we have super bugs like MRSA. Greed is the cause of most problems.
