His proven record of helping people without asking anything in return, even to the determent of his own health , shows just what kind of demons he was working with.

From what I've been able to determine, he read the bible every day.

He also was way ahead of the curve with his diet, by telling people to avoid red meat, white bread, alcohol, (except for red wine) and fried foods. He suggested lots of fruit and veggies, with most of the veggies to be eaten raw.

Not bad for a 1920 diet..

There is alot of good information on Edgar Cayce on youtube, even some of his actual (audio) readings.

And now you can clearly see just how prejudiced (pre judge) those earlier links are. Narrow minded agenda.

The fact that Edgar Cayce was a Bible believing and practising Christian who was initially horrified when told about some of the teachings he was espousing whilst in his 'trancelike state' shows that another entity was speaking through him. There was a world of difference between the Edgar Cayce who was awake and the 'entity' who was speaking when in a trance.

Quote:
When Cayce woke from his sleep, he was shocked. The answers he had given were foreign to everything he had believed since boyhood. To his credit he began to wonder if he were not being used by a malicious spirit to disseminate falsehoods. He told Lammers:
"But what you've been telling me today, and what the readings have been saying, is foreign to all I've believed and been taught, and all I've taught others, all of my life. If ever the devil was going to play a trick on me, this would be it."

Cayce's legacy is a sad one indeed. Coming from Christian roots Cayce at times worried over the origin of his gift and the effect his philosophy might have on others. He once said:
"The power was given to me without explanation It was just an odd trait that was useful in medicine... That's what I always thought, and against this I put the idea that the devil might be tempting me to do his work by operating through me when I was conceited enough to think God had given me special power..."

His waking mind was that of a simple, decent man who had never heard of the New Age or studied the religions of the east. But in a trance he became transformed, describing people he had never met, prescribing medicines he had no knowledge of, and espousing philosophies utterly alien to his experience. As the years went by, the waking Cayce began to conform more and more to the sleeping one. By the time he died, he had left his Christian roots far behind, and had become, unwittingly, a forerunner for the New Age gurus that started infecting our nation in the Sixties.

Carl Jung might have felt the same, while he was developing / founding analytical psychology. The subconscious mind, the higher self, must have at first seemed alien to him.

No pre judging and no closed mindedness at all. from what I have read Edgar Cayce was a Christian man, however, what he channeled was definitely not from God. Just because he healed means nothing. Satan can heal also.

Edgar Cayce will be remembered as a great human being. His predictions were as good if not better than that of Nostradamus, he helped several thousand people with their ailments, and never charged a fee.

Was Satan talking through him? I doubt it... I think he was gifted. He could have made a fortune but chose to be humble instead.

He also stated that everyone has the ability to do the same as him, only we haven't learned how to harness this power... yet..

On a final note he could not possibly be Satan.

I know... I was married to her.

At least that is past tense.
