Default Green bowels!

My uh, expel is green. I have recently (2 days ago) began having 2 tablespoons of Alfalfa Chlorophyll. I also have been drinking a powder mixture called Berry GreenSuperFood from 'Amazing Grass' for about a week. Both of these happen to be green, very green and today I had a particularly tasty green smoothie which resulted in a mossy coloured green (colour being identical to the smoothie) but very healthy looking expel. I feel totally fine, nothing else out of the ordinary.

... Never have I seen such a hue. Is this fairly normal when drinking/eating extremely green (colour and nutrition wise) products? Should I not have as much?

I have never eaten that much green stuff that this has happened, but have eaten so much butter that a load of Bile was released making it green.

I guess it would be normal given the circumstances.

If you want your urine to match, you could take some Methyline Blue.

Hi Cass, welcome to the forum! I only take a small amount of chlorella, and will see the same results in my bowel movement. I think it's normal when taking green food supplements. Even after eating spinach, etc., same thing.

Oh that's good!

I've just been taking the dose recommended on the bottle.

Thanks for the help.

When I use butter, I use a lot of it. How much butter would you say you ate (in one sitting)? Also, is it a good idea to do that now and then? Is is good to release that green bile?

Green poop is rarely cause for concern, epsecially after the circumstanses you have described. It is most definetly a result of your current supplements. If it stays green for more then a few days, I would stop the diet change to see if that clears it up, and if that doesn't then I would consult a doctor. I remeber when I had my first very green stool, it scared the crap out of me. Haha, after a little research I found that it is not a big deal at all. It can be caused eating certain things, or by stool passing through your large intestines too fast. In either case it is usually nothing to worry about and should pass in a day or two. Here is a link all about green poo.

I hope its normal....after eating redbeets, I will see red poo... and after eating some of my birthday cakes, kids have been know to have poo of the main color in the frosting.... imagine the first time a mother saw blue poo...or purple... its sort of unsettleing.. I have gotten in the habit of warning the parents

I ate some popcorn soaked in butter when this happened. It has never happened before, or since, but there was a definite slug of bile released.

I was also somewhat ill with Crohn's at that time, so that may have thrown everything out of whack.
