I don't know if this is relevant or not but this guy certainly has the credentials for making these observations. I bought his book about heart disease and it was worth the money to me. I did not buy the book about Cholesterol, it was too expensive.

Good for him! At least one doctor willing to admit to the present beliefs on
diet and misconceptions of most medical practices.

That was excellant. Omega 6s are not good. Best natural means for reducing inflamation are Omega 3/fish oil, turmeric, ginger root, olive oil. Secondary naturals would be vitamin c, vitamin e, antoxidant foods.

This is useful also

Inflammation is behind most of the chronic conditons. The American diet of processed foods is the cause. The Omega 3 to Omega 6 ratio should be 1:1 to 1:3 it is now at 1:25. The Omega 6's we get from the diet are poor quality.

Thr problem in the US (and I am assuming the UK and much of western society) is that we are use to eating high fat and processed foods. Being of greek ancestry I remember the late 1960s when all my grandparents were still alive, there was always a salad, fish was common and olive oil was in every household. Going out to a diner or restaurant was a few times a yr, McDonalds was twice a yr and pizza was a few times a yr. The rest of the meals were cooked at home and at both my grandparents homes, the bread was always homemade. Nowadays, all the food is processed, trans fat laden, cheapened (i.e. canola or soy oil as opposed to olive oil or butter).
