Depends on the frequency & whether a porn addiction is attached.
Otherwise, I feel it's a healthy outlet if you're horney & a decent human being who wouldn't use another person merely for your own physical satisfaction.
You can't get pregnant/get someone else pregnant or catch STDs, soooo

Absolutely not. Humanity has been fed a crock about this since the begining from churchs and other power mongers.
Pornorgraphy and masturbation are two different issues. The first is a sociopathic behavior the other is normal.

I guess thats true about separating the 2....
but if you're not using porn while your masturbating or thinking about it...what would you be thinking about?
isn't masturbation about lust?

I also agree that porn is not healthy..
But theres nothing wrong with masturbation as long as its in moderation.
Ultimately though, I believe its healthier to have sex with a loving partner, but if thats not an option its healthy to release your sexual tension.
Its not good to repress sexual feelings/thoughts.. Thats why priests end up molesting little boys.

Spiritual - depends only upon you and your intimate relationship with God. IMO, not a problem at all.
Religious - depends only upon you and your religious authority, which is already ridiculous. They prefer to stand between you and God.
Mental - maybe.
Physically - not at all. Good release. Some report that it can relieve a headache.

So what if it does have an aspect of lust? Why is lust wrong? Our brains are hardwired to have sexual desires and to respond to images, smells, sounds, a multitude of impressions.
When sex is taken to a level that damages other people thats when a problem sets it. But way before it gets there it damages the individual first if the attitude and mindset is plagued with fears and lies.
Some people have incredilbly strong sexual drives. It is a physiological as much as a phsychological phenomena. Masturbation gives them an outlet that requires that no other participate in their sexual need release or gratification.... it demands nothing from another. For a man, and this is what I have taught my sons, if you go after a woman just for sex you dishonor her and you dishonor yourself. Take care of business yourself so your relationships can be based on a true an deep emotional and loving interaction, not just the using of each other for a physical gratification. This way you will never be bound to a woman just for sex and she cannot use that power to control you. You will be standing within your own power and not be being lead around by your cock.
Not only will this empower a man but I frees a woman from performing sexual acts that do nothing and mean nothing for her. women generally require a deeper connection than just getting someone off and most men do not provide that connection at all times. If it is not provided then she can feel used and unfilled in the relationship. this is in essence why woman have under their breaths and behind mens back have said that marriage is legalized prostitution. It is a very old saying .... of course not always true but many a woman at times gets to feeling that she is just servicing her man.
This can lead to depression, anger, resentment, isolation, and a deterioration of the marrage relationship over time when requirements are excessive and emotional reciprication is not really there.
really, if you want to understand all this more get the books by David Deida and read up on Tantric Yoga. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/David_Deida
His book "The Way of The Superior Man" deals directly with this topic.
This book was provided to my son's when they turned 21 as the completion of their sex education from their family.

Well, any man who starts to masturbate regularly will use porn from the internet.
I think its just wishful thinking to think a man is going to masturbate but only think of his wife or g/f.
Its like wanting to have your cake and eat it too. It doesn't work that way.
If you're masturbating...you're using internet porn....that is if you have access to the internet.

I'm just wondering about something limitme. What did men use back when girly magazines & the internet were not yet available?
Hypothetically, say you were doing research online. The topic is, 'How to build a boxcar.' Your mind is focused on what materials you'll need to buy. Then a pop up of completely nakey women (men for the ladies ) in compromising positions appears on your screen.
Wouldn't it be safe to say that the availability of porn on the internet strongly inspires one to masturbate?

Im saying it does. Porn not only debases woman, or men who do it, but drags the spirit and the mind down a huge black hole and tempts people into debased behaviors.
I don't think masturbation in and of itself is a problem but when it is connected to porn and the porn industry it become a very ugly monster.
My best friend, while we were raising children, when the kids were about 10 years old, found credit card receipts from porn her husband had purchased and had hidden at his shop. Later when the economy got tough for them she found that although she couldn't get enough money to pay all the billls she found that 300 a month was out on porn on her husbands cards. For years their sex life was a drag and she always use to complain about that.... he just wasn't interested... and that was hard for me to believe, as she is quite a woman.
Now they are divorced. The son is grown and now views porn like his dad. the hiding and secretecy and lies in the family did make a toll on the son. He is truly neurotic. The x lives alone and she got joyfully remarried to a great guy, they now have a deeply spiritual and sexual relationship. She always said that she felt like the marriage was killing her. If one focuses their attention on porn instead of their mate they will loose their mate and destroy all hopes for honesty in the marriage and family... kids learn through osmosis... dont forget that. Women don't generally marry into porn willingly, it is a deal they did not bargan for and it will make them, most often, hate their man.

absolutely I would say that it inspires masturbation....
it doesn't matter what was used before the internet...the internet is here now...porn that you can and can't imagine is here now...free...accessible instantly at the click of the mouse....
and men that masturbate will use it.

that is very unfortunate...
what I'm saying is that, if a guy cannot control his urge to masturbate...he will eventually use internet porn....or porn of some type....
no guy will masturbate to spirituality....

Okay.
Do you think if porn wasn't available on the internet that people would spend more time working on expanding their minds while surfing or would they still be masturbating the same amount?
Do you think porn is a form of mind control? That it's able to rewire a brain?
Sure it matters what was used before the internet.. Obviously men had better imaginations or something.
It's not just men. Many, many women have to use internet visuals to become stimulated enough to have sex with their bf, husbands. Lol

Only some men will use it. Men who do not have control over their chakra system and are disempowered by false beliefs and inability to control their minds and their physiology.

these men, who masturbate regularly, but don't indulge on porn...they don't exist.
now, there might be men who don't indulge in masturbation period....
" Do you think if porn wasn't available on the internet that people would spend more time working on expanding their minds while surfing or would they still be masturbating the same amount?"
probably be masturbating less....
"Do you think porn is a form of mind control? That it's able to rewire a brain?"
I don't know...rewire a brain... I don't know....but it definitely helps to change your behavior.
