I am going swimming almost every day for about 30-40 minutes. That was the only exercise I could do after I finished my 6 week course on Levaquin which left me with muscle pain, fatigue and tendonitis. Fortunately after 25 days off antibiotics most of those nasty side-effects seem to be gone for the most part. I am now able to do jogging and no longer do I wake up with sore tendons. I am sure exercise helps because it also increases blood flow to the prostate. However, I really have no idea where I stand with prostatitis because I am not feeling normal yet.
Pinballdocter are you cured from your prostatitis?
I have never had prostatitis, mainly because I believe it is easier to prevent a disease than to treat it.
I take alot of supplements, including antioxidants, antifungals, and some pretty powerful concentrated powders, as well as make sure I get all 90 essential vitamins, minerals, trace minerals, amino acids, and fatty acids in optimal amounts.
Also to help prevent prostate problems, I take saw palmetto, lycopene, pumpkin seed oil, and tons of vitamin C.

It has nothing to do with looking after your prostate.I got mine through sex, even if I had been taking all those supplements I would still have got it!

If you believe that prostatitis is aquired through sex, you would be correct. However, would that not be considered an STD?
If we assume that yeast fungi are transfered from one partner to another, and is allowed to grow, we can also assume the end result is prostate problems, everything from swollen prostate to prostatitis.
If the immune system is optimal, and supplements such as antifungals and antioxidants are taken on a regular basis, it is only logical to assume the fungi (or bacteria in some cases) are destroyed before they can cause damage, and since these are natural antifungals/antibacterial supplements such as coconut oil, colloidal silver, olive leaf extract, etc, there are only positive side effects.
During the 1980's, when AIDS was the main topic in the gay community, some decided to take antibiotics on a daily basis as a preventative. This was considered to be a logical approach, however, the side effects from long term antibiotic use destroyed the immune system, which in turn caused a positive when tested for AIDS.
These "patients" were then put on drugs such as AZT, which further destroyed the immune system, eventually killing the patient.
The point to all this is that it is much easier to prevent a condition than to treat it, especially when the mainstrem medical community is not helping. They prescribe drugs that seem to help with the symptoms but don't address the cause, so it becomes a vicious circle.
Long term antibiotic use will eventually come back to bite you. These drugs are designed to save lives, and should only be used in life and death situations, and should not be given out like candy.
If you eat feedlot meat, you're getting antibiotics. If you drink tap water, you're getting antibiotics because there is no way to filter them out, along with the chemo drugs, the statins, blood pressure medications, etc.
As stated in a previous post, I do not have prostatitis and never have, however, if you really want to get serious about being cured, antibiotics is not the answer. The answer is eliminating the cause, of which is an organism, most likely a fungi.
How do you kill fungi? First you stop feeding it, then you take steps to kill it. You can not have unprotected sex because you will infect your partner and your partner will infect you, and there will be no end.
Killing fungus, especially certain kinds of yeast fungi, is not easy. It takes dedication and alot of time. Fungi, unlike bacteria, are in layers, so even if you kill the top few layers the rest remain to rebuild.
The immune system must be rebuilt in order to win this war, because that is what it is, a war. Fungi will continue to grow until they take over the body, and if allowed to grow, that is exactly what they will do.
A good daily probiotic is necessary for the rest of your life. Also supplements such as beta glucan, resveratrol, astaxanthin, natural antifungals, antioxidants, optimal amounts of vitamins and minerals and would also consider ozone treatments to help boost the immune system.
Don't rely on a urologist or regular MD for help, they don't have the answer.
ok let me start by saying I had found great relief and thought I was on my way to being cured then WHAM it's back constant feeling of having to pee then the pain crept in. I really think I could be getting somthing from my wife cuz we had not had unprotected sex for like three almost four week at this time is when I felt good then we had sex and like the next day I felt a lil something after a couple more time and a few days it was back I do consider the yeast fungi theory to be possible cuz my queen (wife) has had a problem with a reacuring case of bv. ...But her doc and mine have stated this can not afect me I plan on having a broth s eman culture done soon they have not said why she keeps getting this. ..I have not had unprotected sex with anyone else since 1999. How can I know for sure its yeast or fungi

An std is a sexually transmitted infection it can be anything.I once completely eradicated mine with abx.You are talking a lot of nonsense as us in the uk would say.
You can believe it but that doesn't 100% prevent problems. During the time I developed prostatitis I was eating extremely healthy. zero junk food. My diet was loaded with raw fruits and vegetables, nuts and seeds. My health (from blood tests) was as healthy as you could possibly get and still is. I take my health seriously. Never drank alcohol or smoked either. I took a load of supplements, I understand nutrition very well and did everything to improve my health. Just wish I added cranberry juice in there though. Some people for other reasons that diet are more susceptible to prostatitis. On the plus side at 27 years of age I look 17 still lol.
Out of curiosity, how many guys who have been following 'Iwillbecured's' protocol have found any improvement yet?
I have found improvment but I am off abx at the moment.I have been off them fo two weeks and I feel that they did not make a big enough impact.
I have just had a scan of my prostate and they have found some blockages and I am waiting to see what my uro says next month.
The supplements do help a lot.
Well, on my day 5 of going back to the gym, I noticed while on the treadmill, after 45 minutes or so, I started to feel shear pain in the perineum area. It felt as if that area was tearing apart. I ignored it and kept on running and continued with my workout. Funny thing is that I'm feeling better ever since then. My testicals are not burning as much any more, its seems to have gone down to just itching every once in a while. I have been hitting the gym hard, averaging around 2 hours a day, including stretching. My pelvis area has been extremely tight, so I think the pain was from the muscles stretching. Has anyone else had something similar to them?

Although not sure, I also start to think that right now I am not dealing with an infection but the aftermath that is with something related to muscles or nerves. My symptoms are not the same at all anymore as when this all started. I simply do not feel the pain/discomfort anymore in the same area as before although still on the right side. Before when I was infected and under antibiotics I could feel discomfort in testicles, scrotum, lower pelvic region, perineum, urethra and even my right thigh down to the knee at times (the prostate can reflect the pain that far). Also I had ejaculatory problems (low volume of semen and pain/discomfort while ejaculating) and frequent urination (nocturia). All those are typical prostatitis symptoms. Now I feel I am dealing with a different thing. Now my urination is completely normal, strong stream and not frequent at all. Ejaculation is also normal and the usual volume without feeling any discomfort. The pain now has moved upwards and it is located in the right abdominal area. I would say at the same height as the bladder or the appendix although it is not appendix-related since I removed it 2 years ago. If I do nothing just stand or walk or doing normal daily stuff I almost do not feel it. I do feel it when I stretch my abdominal muscles. I wonder if prostatitis can progress to something else like cystitis for example or those pains are simply scars on the muscles. Are you doing the stretches from the link that Iwillbecured gave a while ago?

I live in Thailand but I am a Caucasian and I agree with you that prostate problems are much less common among Asian men. I read somewhere that Japan is the country with the least prostate problems which is for sure more due to their diet and less to exercise.
Right before I got this I started running at the gym quite a lot, so I still wonder if it had something to do with it. I have had a pain in my inner hip, groin and even knee on the same side since it started, so I can't really run any more. Now I just swim.
Hey pinball I have taken antifungals as well as colloidal silver with no effect, does this mean it is not fungal?

Yeah, I got this around the same time that I started running as well. Were you stretching before? I wasn't and I remember feeling tightness/pain in inner hip, groin, as well.
