Default Virginia Tech gunman on anti-depressants

I believe everyone has heard of the tragedy at Virginia Tech.

Something caught my eye, though, reading a report from the Los Angeles Times online article (click here): The gunman was "taking medicine for depression."

Now why would someone under anti-depressant medication commit suicide along with murder? Isn't suicide a known "side"-effect of these drugs? It would be good to know what specific medication he was taking.

Default Hou on Meds

Oh Gosh, a friend just asked me if he had been on meds
for depression! I hadn't heard this Gerry.

Such a tragedy! So many wasted young lives and dedicated
professors!

Apparently he was, but no definitive prove yet. I was listening the radio yesterday and some doctor, who was supposedly an expert on anti-depressant medication, stated that his behavior indicated that he was.

What would be surprise me is if they did an autopsy on the shooter to see if he was on a behavior-altering drug. But that is one thing I would not expect to see happen, cause if his problem was linked to his medication that would be like shooting the drug companies sacred cow.

Default Drugs?

Everything I've heard has said that Hui was NOT on meds
of any kind. None have been found in his room or anywhere
else.

REALLY STRANGE!!!

The link to the article I gave in my first post now contains a different article!!!

Are they covering up these things? I should have saved the page.

The article I referred to was written by Erika Hayasaki and Richard Serrano. Now this page has an article written by Richard Serrano, Bob Drogin and David Zucchino.

Well, I suspected this aspect would be blotted out. It was just a passing statement in the news article I mentioned, but it caught my attention, which is why I raised it here.

Anyway, I just found out about Youtube and how informative it can be. Take a look at this:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Sstoa406Oa0

and note the descriptions of the suicides.

Of course, it is possible the killer was not using anti-depressants, now that the web link I gave is apparently changed. My apologies for suspecting something from an article that suddenly disappeared.

I wonder, would any of you have the hard copy of the April 17 or 18 issue of the LA Times? If so, could you search up the article?

Gerry, that was an illuninating video - thanks. Here is a related snip from this article
https://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/world/americas/6564653.stm

There were reports that he had shown recent signs of violent behaviour, including starting a fire in a dormitory, and that he may have taken medication for depression.
It mentions this man's treatment for mental illness in 2005.

This not to say that the "the truth about psychiatry, ANTIDEPRESSANTS EXPOSED" doesn't have many valid points but notice what a slick production the video is. I'll bet it was produced by the Church of Scientology, an organization every bit as diabolical as BigPharma. I don't take any antidepressant but I have many friends and relatives who do and I know that the drugs save many lives. I've had at least a 1/2 dozen friends and relatives that committed suicide who were not on antidepressants. I agree that many would benefit from better diets. I do take 5-HTP.

I've been exploring a lot of medical related issues in Youtube. And I thought that Youtube was just some entertainment site.

Definitely, we still have to screen the validity and veracity of any info we get, but some are really quite telling.

Here are some interesting clips:

Default Va Tech shooter!

Personally, I think Cho's problem was that he'd evidently
been made fun of for many years by peers, even back in a
Va highschool, and basically been mostly ignored by his
room mates and classmates at Va Tech. His family
members have stated that Cho always had trouble fitting
in w/others. Also, any advances he'd made to females on
campus, were evidently Not appreciated.

I just hope the Media w/leave them alone now, to greive in
private and be able to heal. It's become a real Media Circus
and the students are saying to leave them alone. I also
think that NBC was wrong to broadcast Cho's Manifesto,
which only gave him power and attention after his death.

I don't know if it's just me becoming more aware of these (some sources are years old), or it's really getting the ball rolling against anti-depressants.

Now I see a newsletter of Jon Barron (click here) citing a CBS News article (click here) saying that Cho was indeed on anti-depressants at the time of the shootings.

Another video:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9S-7aNPf33A

Gary Null's video (1 hour, 43 minutes) on the drugging of America's children:

https://video.google.com/videoplay?do...99239524875493

Some parts of that long video are seen here:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TTr4QcIsJ5c

but if you have the time, or you could make time for it, watch the full video. Really sad, if not frightening. Teachers practicing medicine and leading to medicating of toddlers, a mother charged with "kidnapping" her child from the authorities, school shooters and other drug users under amnesia of what they were doing because of the drugs they were taking, etc.

Default Another case

Just off the TV where a few seconds ago, a report was given about Master Sgt. James Coons

https://abcnews.go.com/WNT/print?id=3067983

https://abcnews.go.com/Video/playerIndex?id=3070260 (it might come after an advertisement)

Again, I was attracted to the fact that he was given depression and anxiety medications when he was on duty in the Middle East. Sure enough, he never seemed to recover. I wouldn't be surprised if he was also given medications upon his return.

Am I just being paranoid about this topic?

Maybe I should really be careful, lest someone puts me on one of these psychotropic drugs for being paranoid.

Gerry, please keep following these stories, where you can. I have seen enough, over the years, to know that there is certainly something very unstable about these new SSRI drugs. The older anti-depressants are safer. None of them is pleasant but at least they didn't cause mass murders!

NO! Not in my opinion. These drugs have proven what they can do.

If some wants to but you on these drugs, just act crazy, they will then think that you are normal and you will be OK.
