Default What do you guys think of these juices? Plus a question..

https://www.lakewoodjuices.com/

The health food store here sells them. The PURE juices claim to have NOTHING in them. Just pure pressed organic juices. As you can imagine.. some of them are not cheap, as most juices are blends with very liquidy types of juices. But these PURE juices are simply that. PURE. No vitamin C added.

My question is this.. do you guys think its ok to use other juices as well besides Jim's reccomended apple, cranberry, and pineapple?? If I am going to take these juices anyways.. i would prefer to take other kinds with other health benefits such as blue berry, black cherry, and purple carrot etc... The good thing about that site.. is that you can see how much vitamin C is in each PURE juice. There are juices out there with much less natural vitamin C than the juices reccomended by Jim. Are there any other reasons why these juices are to be used over other juices???

Blueberry juice has the same concerntration as cranberry juice, and is less acitic? Is there any reason why some of these other juices wouldnt work?? assuming they are low in Vitamin C?

Thanks,
Mav

These juices look good, but they are garbage.

This is why:
How are Lakewood fruit juices made?

Our juices start with the freshest fruits available. Once fruit is picked, it is loaded onto the field trucks and transported to our processing plant, where it is washed, graded, selected, and separated. Next, the fruit is pressed and the puree or juice is passed through a finisher to remove excess pulp, seeds, and skin. Finally, our juice is then FLASH PASTEURIZED, bottled, and vacuum-sealed in new, clean, glass bottles.

When juice is pasteurized, its no longer a "living" product. The enzymes are destroyed, to protect the consumer...

What does this have to do with mixing it with MMS?

Thanks, but i think its far from "garbage". I know about pasteurization (i drink and eat raw dairy). However, I can't easily buy unpasteurized juice here, and I don't live near a grove stand, and I don't have a juicer, which is why I am looking at this. It still has natural vitamin content (without being fortified), and anti-oxidants in it, even after being flash pasteurized. So until I can get a juicer, this "garbage" is the best option I can find locally. Anyways, besides that (thank you for your input though), I was simply asking if this juice would be a good mix to go with MMS. And also asking if other juices would be ok besides Jim's recommended Apple, Cran, or Pineapple.

I was not aware that you knew this juice was flash pasteurized, and I don't have much regard for any products that are "altered" in this way.

I have found the best way to mix MMS is first to activate it with a 10% solution of citric acid, then after waiting 3 minutes, add a couple ounces of distilled water. That way, there is no vitamin C to interfere with the oxidization of the chlorine dioxide.

Jim states in his book that MMS, activated with 10% citric acid, makes a stronger solution.

I've used Martinelli's apple juice many times with MMS and it has always been my favorite other times, but I just discovered that it is pasteurized too. Otherwise it's delicious and has no vitamin C or anything at all added to it. My granddaughter and I drove about 100 miles a week or so ago to an old cider mill near Olympia and Tumwater, WA where we used to buy the best non-alcoholic apple cider I've ever tasted, when she was about 5 years old. She's now 22 and the cider is just as good as ever. It was great to share the day and lots of memories with her. If you happen to live near there, here is a link.

pinball, I do activate it with 10% citric acid. I am just up to 15 drop doses now, and was wanting somethign to mask the taste, other than just distilled water. However, after I ran out of pineapple juice, its not all that bad tasting, even with distilled water. If i had to explain the taste at 15 drop dose and water, i would say it tastes like sour swimming pool water!

Night owl,.. that apple cider sounds delicious, and Pasteurization will NOT effect the MMS at all, that I am aware of. Just activate it still with the citric acid, then add in the juice. The ONLY thing that is a concern with the juice IMO, is to make sure that it is not FORTIFIED with additional Vitamin C. I believe Naturally occuring Vitamin C is fine.

Martinelli's apple juice was my choice after activating with citric acid, as you described. It disguised the awful taste pretty well.

The cider mill makes spiced apple cider that's so good warmed and sipped on a cold winter day!
