Default question about technical grade Sodium Chlorite

MMS is made with technical grade Sodium Chlorite. Technical grade Sodium Chlorite means it is 80% sodium chlorite.

So... what is the other 20%?

MMS is 28% Sodium Chlorite which means it has 280,000 ppm of sodium chlorite and 72% Distilled water.

ScorpioTiger, also read this:
https://www.bioredox.mysite.com/CLOXhtml/CLOXprot.htm

This is the best resource for MMS I have found to date.
Scroll down a bit and read the paragraphs under "Sodium Chlorite Solutions".
After I read this, I realized you are correct in that "Technical grade Sodium Chlorite means it is 80% sodium chlorite."
However, Jim Humble came to prefer a 28% solution.
This is explained in the text.

When you purchase sodium chlorite in dry form it is 80%.

When you follow Humbles instructions for mixing it up into a solution your end result is approximately a 28 percent solution.

Jeremyofmany - you may want to consider adding to your website in a prominate place that MMS must be kept in a safe place away from children.

I think it really should be sold with a child proof cap....but what do I know? I have been ignored on this issue. Guess it will take an incident for folks to wake up.

Oh, I see. Thats not your site. Either way. Sufficient warnings are not part of the MMS program. Someone will get in trouble for it someday, I am sure.

The information provided in that research article appears to suggest that it is safe for children providing you use the correct dosage.
Also, Jim Humble's personal blog explains how it is safe for pregnant women and children. Read here.

So based on that, if my son had the flu and I had MMS, I would consider giving it to him with distilled water (which I can purchase a gallon from our local drug store for $1.40CAD. Cheaper than non-purified water.

Ya we know this, but like scorpiotiger asked. What's the other 20%, if Sodium Chlorite is 80% in powder form?

Perhaps you could use the wonderful resource known as Google and research it yourself?
I have found the following in less than 5 minutes:

Sodium Chlorite--80%
How sodium chlorite is made - Background, History, Raw materials, The manufacturing process of sodium chlorite, Quality control, Byproducts/waste

Cheers.
