Question Edible Seeds?

What are some good edible seeds to buy for eating purposes? Besides CHIA seeds?
It's always being suggested that we eat more nuts & seeds for health purposes, so I'm looking into it.

A few edible seeds are pumpkin, sesame and sunflower. They're rich in protein, B-complex vitamins, vitamins A, D and E, phosphorus, calcium, iron, flourine, iodine, potassium, magnesium, zinc and unsaturated fatty acids.

Sesame seeds are high in calcium. Sunflower seeds contain up to 50% protein. Unhulled seeds have a longer shelf life, provided they're kept in a cool, dry place in a tightly covered container. Hulled seeds should be refrigerated immediately and used promptly, because oxidation of their fat content may make them rancid.

I think they are, in a non-traditional seed way, the pomegranate 'arils' are the 'seed sacs'.

Remember to soak them over night otherwise you'll be wasting time and money eating them.

Soaking them deactivated the enzyme inhibitors.

More fact here: https://www.raw-food-living.com/soaking-nuts.html

Brazil nut is the most digestible of all nuts and very good because of the rich source of magnesium.

Again, soak it. ;-)

I love seeds. I eat any kind of raw organic seed I can find, even chia and flax, just by themselves!

It's also a good idea to eat some of the seeds in whatever fruit you're eating.

They're such nutritional powerhouses and some have pathogen killing and healing properties.

To expand on what Kind2Creatures says, one cup of sunflower seeds gives you well over 100% of your RDA for E, Selenium, Copper, Phosphorus, Manganese; sunflower seeds are also high in protein, fiber, good oils, iron, zinc, magnesium, B vitamins.
