The european cookies. At Big Lots for what ever reason, they have a ton of coffees from europe and cookies from holland. made with less junk than ours and they are quite excellent. They are inexpensive also there (at Bog Lots).

I wonder if that stuff at Big Lots is close to going out of date. They're also known for discontinued items in that store. Maybe that's why the cookies are so cheap? Do you have anything that shows the expiration date? Good to know that they're tasty, may check them out.

If it's these Hellema Fourr Biscuits $1.50 Each that we are talking about then I don't want to be a killjoy but these are in no way "HEALTH FOODS"
They may be less bad than sweeter alternatives but because they are delicious you will find it harder to consume fewer. Bulk buying them won't help as having a store in the cupboard will lead to giving into temptation.

Good till 6/30/2012 But I know what you mean, they have things out of date sometimes.

LOL Close! Hellema vienese fingers and hazelnut cookies. No, not healthy at all, but much better than US Keebler transfat cookies and much better tasting.
Natural junk food is a contradiction in terms. It's a marketing gimmick. We need to re-educate our sense of taste to enjoy the subtle, delicious flavours of fresh ingredients simply prepared.
And you have to worry about mold in processed foods, on top of everything else! Processed foods are the wrong way to go in so many ways.
I don't know about foods from Holland (Netherlands actually ), but I had a friend from there who was horrified at some of the foods we eat in America. She said one of her first meals when she came to America was a sandwich with white bread and processed cheese and she said, 'Aaagh, this is not a sandwich!' I do love their licorice--even though it has sugar it's real licorice. I don't eat it very often because of the sugar, though.
I eat healthily but I need some snack foods. I guess that's the American in me. If you have the time make your own healthy snacks. I don't have the energy so I spend extra on snacks made by raw food companies, but they're expensive.

LOL, had some neighbors from germany in 1999. We took them to the local watering whole and introduced them to Buffalo wings. They went nuts over that.
A mix of dried fruit and nuts is a high-energy snack that doesn't take any preparation. I don't eat it as much as I used to now as my energy levels are more stable, but I still occasionally reach for the fruit and nuts.
