Choosing a Dentist

\r\n \r\n i dont speak to my step father anymore, or to my real father, or to my mother or the rest of my family, i dont really have any friends anymore either, its futile and the advices are all outdated and same old same old, you guys here see the bigger picture and know better, so i ask bcuz for me this forum is the only place i can ask, most of the other people just pass on information their mom or grandmom or friend told them, they dont know whats true or not, its all bs.

\nSo what i want in this thread is for you to help me prepare for when i go to interview all this dentists, i need to be a 100% ready so that i dont make the wrong decision, i cant afford to make any more of those not health wise not money wise...\r\n

\nI\'m about to have major work done in 2 months and am searching around my entire city for a decent dentist that is of a decent price, the age thing is a good requirement that I didn\'t think of, and good reviews online. That\'s all I\'ve got so far though.

\nThe problem with the online reviews though is you don\'t know who\'s making them and usually only pissed off people are the ones who actually go online to say something.

\nI don\'t want to go and spend my 7,000 and get shotty work done or have a more than I should miserable experience.\r\n

\r\n \r\n Over the past year & half, I had a wonderful Dentist that performed the 1st steps of a dental implant for me. I\'ve never had a dentist call me at home and check to see how I was doing - She did! After the 1st implant failed to properly take, I was contemplating not continuing and having a bridge instead. She encouraged me to try it again, and even offered to redo the procedure at no cost to me! Well, I just checked back in with her and the implant took - allowing me to continue with the rest of the procedure. I would recommend her in a heartbeat! What a great experience, and what a great professional she is! I\'ll be sending a "ThankYou Card" by her office this week.\r\n

\nPlus she said my upper wisdom teeth are going bad and sooner or later we gon\' have to do something about them, but i dont want to do anything with these people anymore i want to be seen by a proper dentist who thinks like i think and knows what these fuckers around here havent even heard about...

\nBut im in pain on and off, and i just might have to remove these 2 teeth...ufff

\nI have already removed 2 lower wisdom teeth because they grew wrong, so i had to. But the upper ones grew correctly, they just went bad and cant be saved i guess. At least removing these wont be such an issue considering there are no wisdom teeth on the lower jaw, so the upper two arent of much help for anything really. Except pain, no help...\r\n

\r\n \r\n After having a mercury filling removed in 2006, which required a huge filling and the doc thinking that perhaps a root canal was necessary but decided to give a filling a try, I had tooth pain until a few months ago when I went on a scheduled mms mouthwash protoocl for a couple of weeks. Now that tooth no longer hurts. I can even bite down on it and have returened to chewing with both sides of my mouth.

\nIts worth a try. I think that it could also help heal cavities if done at least once a week after the initial protocol.... for cavities are caused by bacteria and mms kills it all\r\n
