Hello all! It's my first post, so I'll apologize in advance for its length. I'll try to keep it short.
I am looking for suggestions or recommendations on how to heal, soothe, or otherwise calm a damaged cranial nerve, specifically Cranial Nerve V. It's a long story, but I had a serious infection years ago that caused abscesses in the tonsils and it appears it spread to my face and damaged the tissue surrounding the trigeminal nerve. I am looking for something to apply to the area below my right eye along the right upper cheek bone to calm this when it starts acting up. (By acting up, I mean a burning sensation, a pinched sensation, a sharp pain, a dull pain, or any combination thereof. It really affects mental clarity.) I've been seeing an ND to help with the underlying issue, and she has noted (correctly) that all of this is along the meridian that includes my small intestine and digestive tract. When my gut acts up, the nerve flares pretty badly. I'm looking for something to calm the symptoms while we resolve the underlying problem. Any takers? Thanks! |
