Preferences include allowing/moderating comments, and if you create your own categories, your post topics can be categorized for easy search and reference. Click on "Blogs" in the blue strip next to UserCP to get started.
Blogging is as easy as posting on the forum! ANYTIME is a good time to create your own blog and we're here to help if you have any problems or questions.
Note: The NMT blog statistics show at the bottom of the forum page, along with the latest blog entry.
Oh! There IS an option to close off certain blog posts to be viewed only by your 'contact' list?!
Yes Cookie, I haven't used it yet, but there is an option under the blog post. If you don't check the box when making the entry, you can go back in under 'edit' (go advanced), and do it afterwards.
Under the blog post, there's an box to check to "restrict entry viewing to contacts and blog moderators"...
Quote:
The Restrict entry viewing to Contacts and Blog Moderators option will restrict the viewing of an entry to just those members on your contact list and to Blog moderators. This allows you to leave your blog open to all members but still have the ability to restrict viewing on an entry to entry basis.
The preferences for the blog as a whole can be found through Blog Control Panel - Permissions and Privacy. That's where you can make general choices about those on your contact list, ignore list, other members, guests, or mods only to view/comment on your entries. It notes that moderators can always view entries (for spam and security purposes).
Got it, found it.
You have to click on 'go advanced' in the message box area when you're writing your blog entry.
The privacy options are below the smilies.
Yah it's fun!!
Right now I'm just moving a couple really old entries over from PAH whenever i go on there to store craft links & stuff.
But, once I start writing about current things in my blog here, I think it might be best to go semi-private. Especially with pictures..
I love looking at your blog too!! Still have to check everyone else's out too~
