Chronic Sinusitis and Yeast Infection

Chronic sinusitis is due to a yeast infection according to a Mayo Clinic study, so antibiotics only make it worse. Its hard to get rid of because of an underlying biofilm virus as well. This doctor treats it with an antifungal drug and a special compounding pharmacy nose spray.

It may help but if youve got a fungus in your nose its probably in your gut as well and may need treating there to really succeed in the sinuses.

I've tried something similar with Diflucan (fluconozole) and colloidal silver in a nasal spray bottle at the same time being on an anti-candida diet. Nothing.

I would suggest alternating colloidal silver with olive leaf nasel spray, but keep in mind it takes a long time to kill fungi in the sinuses because the colonies are in layers.

Good point. Most microbes have great defense mechanisms. I do rotate anti-microbial herbs, but did not think about the nasal spray. Also, very few things can avoid colloidal silver. The problem with fungi is that they go deep into the sinus tissue, where topical sprays can't reach. And they are also protected, due to low blood flow in that area.

But I do believe in that article posted by Liverock. It takes external spray and internal anti-microbial.

Olive leaf extract is one of the best antifungals there is, when it comes to killing fungi in sinus cavities. I would even consider mixing it with colloidal silver and shooting it up each nostril a couple times per day.
