Arrow Flu Viruses - How We Catch Them and Fight Them Off

Good information on catching the flu, viruses, sneezes and keeping our immune systems strong to avoid influenza...

Quote:
Flu and flu-like illnesses are caused by viruses that can produce millions of copies within your cells.

As long as your immune system can stay one step ahead of the virus, youll feel better again quickly and in some cases may not even know you were sick.

Strategies that support your immune system health will help you to ward off all types of viruses, whereas a flu vaccine will only partially protect you from the 3-4 influenza viruses it contains.

Healthy eating, exercise, sleep, stress and vitamin D levels are all factors that should be addressed to keep you well this flu season.

I haven't gotten the flu virus is decades due to one simple thing - frequent hand washing. The virus enters through the eyes and mouth via your hands - rubbing eyes or lips, handling food, etc. Washing hands thoroughly for 20 seconds or more kills the flu virus. Always wash hands thoroughly before eating, avoid fast-food places where a food preparer may have the virus and not even know it. Avoid rubbing eyes or lips. Always wash your hands after touching doorknobs, keyboards, or objects others have touched --even pieces of paper.

Same here Ajax, and I agree that the hand washing is key in prevention. I use the wipes in supermarkets for the carts whenever they're available. I wash my hands immediately when I get home from being out in public around people. I try very hard not to touch my face with my hands, until they've been thoroughly cleaned.

I also started using vitamin D3 several years ago, and I think that's helped. I actually try to hold my breath or keep my mouth closed, when I pass someone who's obviously sick, sneezing or coughing, etc.

Agree totally but as an extra backup I keep colloidal silver and hydrogen peroxide handy
