My garden shed was starting to show its age so about a month ago I decided it was time to fix it up a bit. From the pictures you will note that there is a maple tree next to it, that tree did not exist when I built the shed. However it self planted itself and then proceeded to grow. Early on I was going to pull it out but was informed that it was a �nice little tree and I should leave it�. Well it obviously continued to grow some and since then and it got to the point where it was caving in the side of the shed. Clearly there is no way I could save the old shed I needed to tear it down and build a new one.

Now I could have just copied the old design or even done the unthinkable and just gone out and bought a new one. But what�s the fun in that, plus I would then end up with a typical generic garden shed. So I decided to design my own and do something a little different. This is the result.

Very unique project MS.

All you need now is a moat around it and a drawbridge to lock yourself in and be King of the Castle.

It is a little hard to see in the picture but there is a moat in front. Although the killer attack goldfish have not arrived yet.

Very unique garden shed, Mad Sci! I agree, your neighbors are surely
jealous of such a lovely edifice! Great pics too. Maples grow
fast, especially if a water maple - probably fed by your moat.

OK here is my latest home improvement project

Wanted to get some more storage space but where to build a new cabinet that would not in the way. Well coming in from the garage is this stairway going to the basement. At the far end is a whole bunch of dead space that is not is not being used anything and is just going to waste.



This looked like a perfect place to build a new cabinet and here it is.
Of course getting to it could be a bit of a problem.



So rather then trying to get to it, with a push of a button it comes down to you.

I'm in the process of doing alterations on the fixer-upper I'm living in right now so I can really appreciate how you feel once you complete a project!! And 'before' pictures are a great reminder of just how much of an improvement you've made. It's funny how fast you forget what something looked like after it has been remodeled & you become accustomed to the new look~

Unfortunately, my remodeling has come to a complete stop for the next 6 to 8 weeks as I'm on due to a fractured tibia

This then is the perfect time to be planning and designing the next project. One that requires less physical stress.
