A friend of mine was prescribed restasis eye drops at 304$ for a month's supply. She said after insurance, she still pays 100 bucks. Anyone have any alternatives for this? (Restasis is a 0.05% solution of cyclosporine, so it knocks out the immune system in the eye area).

That IS outrageous, saved1986! I see that commercial on TV all the time, never thought the stuff was THAT expensive, it's a crime!

They say that Vitamin A intake from food sources helps dry eye.

saved1986 your friend had a pancreas imbalance causing her dry eyes. I corrected the imbalance and she should be ok now. But let me know either way. I need the feedback.

Link to what? I used energy medicine to correct the imbalance in her pancreas. Nothing else.

Tell her to research Can-C ( a special analogue of the di-peptide carnosine). N-acetylcarnosine. It is originally for cataracts. It has several other uses; such as dry eye syndrome.

Here's what worked for me. Synthovial Seven--a liquid hyaluronic acid (not eye drops).

Several years ago on the old HSI forum there was a discussion about floaters in the eye. Synthovial Seven was recommended so I tried it. After two months, I decided that it was not helping with my floaters and discontinued using it. However, several weeks later, my dry eye returned--I had not been aware that it was gone until it came back. I have started and stopped using it several times so I know that is what is working.

At one point, to save a little money, I switched to a hyaluronic capsule, but it didn't work for me. It takes about a month and a half for it to kick in and once it does I have been able to cut the dose in half. A bottle costing about $25 on Amazon lasts me about two months at the half-dropper dose.

It has worked for my son-in-law, too. Also, my opthamologist has been telling people about it.

The info on the Can-C site, given above, that Jim posted, does say that it
works for Dry Eye problems. Quite a bit of info actually.
I have trouble using eye drops. Just peculiar to me. I had to use 2 kinds
of drops when I had my cataract implants done last year.
I use Vision Advantage from Dr David Williams; 2 softgels contain 4345iu of
Vit A. as well as lots of other Vits and minerals. 180 in a bottle.
I don't recall what I paid for them but you can check it out on his website.
