When I was a kid, I seriously had huge amounts of wax in my ears all the time.. I would take out globs of it from my ears lol..
But it seems just the past few years my ears no longer produce wax?? I clean them with a cutip like everyday or two and nothing ever comes out?
Ive also noticed a slight bit of tinnitus.. but I only notice it when its dead quiet or im going to sleep..
I started wearing ear plugs every night the past year or two, could that cause this?
I seem to suffer from congestion, phlegm quite easily.. maybe somehow ive supressed my natural cleansing process (wax, mucus) and instead of detoxing naturally from my body its being stored inside?
Could it be from using decongestants/expectorants in the past? I used to use psudafed/mucinex quite often, now I never would..
I've heard that adding extra oils to the diet helps move the ear wax out. Things like flaxseed oil, fish oil, borage oil, evening primrose oil, etc. might be good things to try. Of course you probably have to use at least twice the amount recommended on the label for a month or so, before you notice if there's any positive results.

Hey.. hmm yea but im not sure if its that the ear wax is blocked or its just not being produced? Surely if it were clogged I would be able to get to it with a Qtip right?

Sometimes I think it just gets packed down by using a Q-tip. We clean my dog's ears regularly, plucking the wire-hairs out and cleaning with Q-tips. Well, we always get positive compliments from the Vet, but last time they said there was some ear-wax, way down in the canal. They gave us a Salicylic Acid liquid ear cleaner to use, and sure enough, in two days, wax started surfacing to be wiped out.
I have practically no ear wax either - not for years. I just thought it was a plus factor with aging!
Of course, maybe it is that I use/eat lots of the oils that kind2 mentioned.
You could ask your Dr to check your ears on your next visit & discuss it w/him/her.
I used to use my pinkie finger to clean my ears of wax; I's heard that Qtips were not good to use.

I just realized it recently and figured.. thats not normal right? I mean, isnt that an important elimination channel of your body? Dont most infections etc come through the ear, or so I hear! I thought maybe my wearing ear plugs every night could effect it, I read something that a tnight your ears clean themeselves out or sometihng..
