Default FISH OIL CONCERNS

Helloooooo, anyone there???

My fish oil concerns... Because I continue to funnel most of our coins toward my husband's health issues, but also being very aware that I must TRY to stay as healthy as possible, many months ago when Julian Whitaker changed his Forward Plus formula and offered his existing supply for half the price, I elected to purchase a yrs worth.

When the vitamins arrived, I decided to store them in my husband's closet (no room in mine don't you know)

Now...though the closest is dark and the coolest room in this Texas heat during the summer, I have now begun to have concerns.

My concerns are not especially for the vitamins themselves, but rather for the 'fish oil' that is part of the pack (thus Forward 'Plus")
I keep all my other fish oil in the fridg for safe keeping.

I called the company about my concerns, but, of course, they were very noncommittal.

Soooooo, here I am...wondering what my 'forum buddies' might have to say.

I know, obviously, that most of our vitamins are probably stored at some time in those very large, not so cool warehouses, but I don't know...I don't know how those big ole warehouses compare to these hot Tx summers, and there have been times when we were away w/the air turned way down.

Now be sure, I realize none of you can give me an absolute, but I just wanted to come here and see what the gut feeling of the MAJORITY might be.

If we think that the vits are possibly still ok but the FO questionable, I could just 'pitch' the FO. If we felt like the FO was also probably OK, then Yahooooooooooo and I will continue to hope they are, in fact, helping to keep me a healthy little caretaker.

My other option would 'possibly' be to return remaining supplies, but along w/them would go the savings (though that bargain could come at a high price if,in fact, I were doing more harm than good.

OK.......everyone feel free to jump right in and cast their vote/opinion... come one, come all.

One more Q, a couple of yrs ago while searching the book stores, I came across a book that rated MANY vitamins. They were supposedly rated by the amount of each according to what the 'majority' thought to be of most importance.
I was happy to find that my vits at least squeaked in at #10.
Does anyone know how much 'stock' we can put in these ratings, how often they might change, AND does anyone have access to a more recent rating?

I am blessed to be among the knowledge of many.

Oooops...'bout to turn into a pumpkin, so I'll leave it w/you. Thanks

I think that that book was discussed at HSI. I believe that Dr Gerry had the book. Personally, I wouldn't trust any such book. As soon as word is out that such a book is being published, the bribes would start to flood in to change this or delete that.

I would at least refrigerate the fish oil, preferably freeze it. I've got a hand written note from Udo Erasmus where he say's, "Freeze it".

Now Iggy, where is your bedside manner??? Couldn't you have broken the already suspicious news just a little more gently???? How did I know that was most probably going to be the answer???

[color=red]FREEZE IT......what a great idea, and why couldn't this little ole lady think of that???? It just happens that I have several bottles and freezing would certainly lengthen it's life. Thanks for that wonderful tip, but next time...think about softening the blow. I don't have a bad heart, but I do have a soft one

Also, do you have any thoughts about my initial concerns???? Remember....easy does it

Freezing might work well.
Oils of any kind are usually supplements or products that
I Never buy in Bulk, due to possible spoilage and becoming
rancid.
