There are different varieties of aloe and I think some look close, my thumb is brown

but might be ok for aloe as there are some at my house, planted by the previous owner and I have not killed them yet

they grow these stalks out of a couple of the plants and they have like orange looking flower blossoms or something...the previous owner used to eat these as I saw him eat a few one day when we in the back yard, can someone confirm this is the aloe I want to ingest? And is it beneficial to eat these blossoms.
