Default Please help! Advice needed to get over a virus.

Hello,

I have been terribly ill for ten days now. I am very weak and losing weight. I have been experiencing waves of severe fever. I have had the on-call doctor out three times and each doctor has said that I have a virus, there is nothing they can do, and that I need to rest, drink plenty of fluids and try to eat. I haven't actually left my bed at all. My partner has been caring for me.

Two days ago I developed a very bad sinus infection, just to top it off! I have been prescribed antibiotics.

It has been two days since I last had a fever so I am hoping that I am on the mend. However, I am left with extreme exhaustion. I am worried I am going to develop M.E. This morning it was so bad I felt as I was going to die.

Can anyone suggest any alternative options for me? I am willing to try anything. I just want to be well again.

Thank you.

Take 2,000 IU per kg of body weight every day for a week.
This is called STOSS therapy and it is good for all kinds of upper respiratory tract infections.

Although BIOTECH do sell them direct they are actually cheaper from other online sources such as This example

I am about 150lbs so that = 300,000iu/daily or SIX x 50,000iu capsules every day for a week. This is ONLY a short term treatment. It should NOT be continued for longer than a week. Since I've had my 25(OH)D above 60ng/ml I've not had much chance to try this out. On 2 occasions I "thought" I may be coming down with infection and took one stoss therapy size dose but as the symptoms had totally disappeared the following day I didn't bother with the treatment so dropped down to my usual daily 5000iu/.

If you haven't been taking effective amounts of D3 up to now then it would be fine to continue for a week with the mega dosing. This will raise your 25(OH)D level and improve muscle strength and pain threshold.

I agree with Ted, but you should add to that vitamin C, plain old ascorbic acid, no fancy forumula or product line. I trust Jarrow and you should be abe to find it in the healthfood store... not enough time to order on line.

Start with 4,000 mg then Take 2,000 mg every hour. IF you get loose bowels skip a dose then start again. I suspect you are severely difficient in this also. If you wake up in the middle of the night have some placed out ready to go also. Do not be concerned about these mega doses. This is real theraputic dosages. I suggest you purchase capsules as they are easier to take than tablets for most people.

Colloidal silver may also be called for. I would triple the dosage any bottle tells you to take or take the dosage they say but more frequently, till its trippled. You can get it in a health food store

Then get your friend to make homemade chicken soup, seriously.

With all this you should should be getting on your feet in a couple of days. Come back if you are not as you may have something more serious going on.

There's something really bad going around. I wonder how many people had the same virus I did. Several people I know have had it. Like a cold from hell. Bronchitis, sinus congestion that turned into a sinus infection and an ear infection (I never get those) and an eye infection. I coughed so much I burst blood vessels in my eyes. I felt very ill for a week but was sick for a total of 3, with the very ill week as the 2nd week. I took so many things but they didn't help, such as 20,000 mg of C a day, many thousands of IUs of D a day, silver, oregano, grapefruit extract, echinacea, goldenseal, garlic. Maybe I should have taken twice the amount I took! Is this similar to what you had?

Wink simplest things first

This is probably going to sound elementary but sometimes it's best to start with the simplest things first. You probably know that the body uses various systems of elimination i.e. the bowels, the urinary tract, the respiratory tract and the skin. Many times viruses linger because the body is having trouble eliminating them. If, for instance, the intestinal tract is not eliminating properly symptoms will often appear in the respiratory tract. You didn't say if you were eliminating properly (one can understand why) but something to think about is doing an enema. Often times fevers can be broken very quickly by purging this way. Once that channel of elimination is opened up the body finds it much easier to rid itself of the virus and or bacteria. It would be interesting to hear if you've had a problem with elimination, sometimes even diarreah does not allow for proper elimination believe it or not. Also, are you having any skin issues?
I would use a natural enema product like garlic (which is a natural antibiotic). By the way, those antibiotics are not helpful for your intestinal tract! That's the best I can suggest at this point. Best to you!

I used MMS for the Flu a week ago, but it should be used on the onset, or else the die off can be awful hard on the body.

Other than diarrhea, which is normal when a pathogen is being excreted, I only had six hours of Flu symptoms. I started out with eight drops to provoke it out of my body, as my wife had it the previous week, and missed three days of work. When I woke up the nest day, I had a fever diarrhea, and nausea. I then took a five drop dose followed up by a two drop dose ever hour or two. Symptoms disappeared within a couple of hours. I went out of town the next day, and only got a slight fever back when I quit taking MMS. It went away shortly after another dose.

I learned that for this Flu, I had to use MMS for two solid days to prevent a relapse. A couple of drops every one to two hours.

First, almost all sinus infection is caused by fungus, according to the Mayo clinic.

Antibiotics won't kill fungus, however, it will kill the good bacteria in the gut, which can lead to severe health problems..

Colloidal silver.

Take a couple ounces per day til you're feeling better, then take a tablespoon per day to help your immune system/maintenance dose.

The key is in prevention.

Colloidal silver prevents illness.

Your body/immune system is exhausted through the stress and strain of fighting off the virus. Factor in lack of sleep, lack of food/nutrition etc.

Basically, you're suffering from chronic malnutrition. You need to take a high potency multivitamin/mineral (full B complex) and high protein meals to get your strength back and restore balance. Some gentle walks in the sunshine will do the power of good too.

PS: If the virus is still lingering and the silver has failed, grapefruit seed extract (take through a straw) is worth a try. Powerful stuff.
