I haven\'t had the desire to make my own toothpaste yet, but I will use baking soda along with my toothpaste, it doesn\'t irritate my gums. Either the sodium-b is just too harsh for me or (and this is the one I think might be the problem) it\'s the essential oil Im using. It could just be not very good. \n \nHow about using fresh ingrediants cut straight from the plant such as spearmint. Then perhaps blending everything together...???\r\n | \r\n

Making my own toothpaste, trials and tribulations
Hi everyone
Ive been having a go at making my own toothpaste the last couple of days aswell and have not been having much luck. The sodium b, like another member mentioned in another post is too rough on my gums, the glycerine for some odd reason seems to heat up naturally when out of the bottle and lastly I've been using essential peppermint oil which is pretty awful and not sure if its too pure to the point of harmful Can anyone help out... I live in Asia and luckily all ingrediants are easy to come by, Ive been reading calcium bicarbonate is good to add in too....?? |
