Well, after losing around ten pounds and getting to the high end of a normal BMI, the numbers on the scale have gone back up.
Did a lot of piggin' out since the holidays, and it shows! I like good food and sweets, and the most I'll do is cut back, not eliminate them (life's too short).
I joined a gym in November that also has exercise classes, but I slacked off and wasn't going as much as I should've. After being 'cold-free' for several years, I ended up catching a 2 week cold, probably from the gym. So...I didn't go there while I was sick at all, no need to 'return the favor'.
For the past couple of weeks, I started getting into the groove again. I just came home from a cycle class, and I feel great! The nice thing I noticed a couple of days ago, is that I feel much better overall. More pep in my step, and a more positive outlook. The pounds are still there, but they're always slow to go, I'm just glad I'm getting into it again and look forward to my next visit (or walk in the park with the doggies).

Good job K2C. Just keep it up. The pounds will go, but not in the calorie in calorie out myth. If you keep exercising, after awhile your body will slowly reset its basic metabolic rate. Keep exercising and enjoy a good night of eating and drinking once a week.

Thanks saved. I listen to all you say about exercise, and I respect your dedication to working out and staying fit and healthy. I also admire how caring you are with your Dad, helping him exercise through his illnesses. I hope he's doing okay, your Mom too.
Wow, K2C, I was coming in here to write what you wrote!! Started back this week with the spinning and feeling better already - isn't it amazing what a slippery slope it is?!

Courage! to both of us...
LOL, it IS a slippery slope Marilyn27! I wanted to skip tonight's class, so I just spent some time walking on the treadmill (1 hour for 3.6mi), and did a small amount with weights. Salad for dinner tonight, but I must have my creamy italian dressing.
3 spin classes this week.. back on the 'wagon' so to speak! tonight's class was a killer, really know now why I shouldn't let it slide so long
then a can of tuna and salad for dinner - my favourite is olive oil and lemon on the lettuce, if I stray from that it's for blue cheese!
Awesome with the three spin classes, I have never done more than one of those per week. That's the way to work it!! Dinner sounds great too, way to go!
