Friend of mine showed me a rash on her arm and was worried about it because it was persistant and started growing. She went to one of those walk in med centers and the doc looked at it, said he had no clue, gave her a steroid cream and a script for 15 tablets of prednisone (20mgs). She was to take 3 a day and she called me later on the first day and said she took 2 already.

I told her that is a high dose and not the safest drug. I told her the next day just take 1, the following day 1, the next 2 days 1/2 tab and then quit. She called me yesterday (first day of 1/2 tab) and said the rash was disappearing. Why the hell some doc would load someone up with prednisone is beyond me.

Besides being dumb, they probably own stock in the Pharma companies
that make the Meds!

She heard the word eczema from someone and I looked it up (from a natmedtalk point of view). Camomile cream works better than hydrocortisone creams.
