Thanks for the encouragement. Tonights tally: 5 beers ZERO cigs
Excellent news, especially since the increased amount of alcohol in the system leads a lot of people to give in, and not care "in the moment". Way to go saved!

I was jonesing with the fiorst beer but the desire weared off
Today is day 8. I can tell on the stair machine and treadmill that things are already getting better. Went for a swim yesterday at 3pm and and 3:10 pm about 20 little kids came in the pool for a birthday party. I got the hell out of their quick. Next swim planned is tuesday evening. (which will be day 10 ) Today is stair machine.
Congratulations on your first week! It's the hardest.
I have a thread updating daily on another forum. I write my thoughts and struggles, or only number of days, which has been a tremendous help. Tried to quit many times before, when I failed, I failed, no big deal, no one has to care. But with the live thread and support from other members, I feel obliged to succeed. Counting to 100 days.
I suggest you update this thread daily, it will help you get through bad days.

Thanks Matrix. I will be updating daily. Like I said, my reward goal (sorry, I am weird: I prefere traviling and seeing new things, trying new foods and beers as opposed to sports, which I really hate) is doing a short el salvador trip to do this volcano climb. Did it in 2010, went down a 2 mile hill, across a lava field (extinct of course) and started to climb the volcano. I said screw this (because of the 2 mile uphill climb going back) and just went back. This time I hope to do the whole thing.
Today (hopefully: 60 minutes on the stair machine and some bench press and flies).
Also, if you are trying to quit (IMO), you need some type of sensory hit occasionally. I have the parents talked into trying thai food on wed evening. they will get mild and I will get blow your head off. Also Mints help or some type of stronger tasting lozenge.
Your doing well saved, keep up the good work, what an achievment it will be for you to see the world.
By the way do you like jalepino peppers? man they are hot, I do like hot chilli's, but not that hot.

I like jalapenos and basically all peppers. You do build tolerance after awhile. Are buffalo wings popular in Australia?

There's so many strange animals in Australia, I would not be surprised if buffaloes had wings.
I had an older friend that substituted those little corn candies for cigarettes. That was long ago, before we realized that sugar was poison. It worked for him though. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Candy_corn

I don't know about buffalo wings, Saved sorry, is that a special cut or something? I haven't heard of them, I only buy meat for the dogs so don't really know.
I will have to try the jalapeno's again, and try and get used to them.
