Default Getting Blood Work Done?

Do you have to have a prescription from your Doc everytime? Also what do you guys get tested for? I am thinking about doing 20-30 tests but man they are expensive, wonder if my insurance will cover it?

Insurance will cover most lab work. Ask your docotor. My doc does whatever I ask and I can see her wheels clicking as she tries to think of IDC codes to justify it.....which she is very good at.

Some people here get their lab work done through Life Extension Foundation. Perhaps someone else can give the details on that. No prescription necessary.

I get a CBC, B12, Vit D, thyroid panel, estrogen an progesterone, testosterone, DHEA, folate, and cholesterol and triglycerides about every 3rd year as they are too good to merit checking frequently.

Insurance Companies usually will whatever tests/lab work one's Doctor feels is
necessary for the patient, as long as the same test isn't asked for too frequently.
