last week I had three teeth extracted at the dental hospital, and as luck would have it I had another infected tooth flare up before hand! Anyway the teeth are out and I am treating the latest infection with CS, I am also taking Serrepatese daily, I am also taking a multi vitamin.
I haven't had a cold/flu for 9yrs however today I have felt really poorly! Mucus, headaches and temperature and blocked nose!
From everything I've heard, increasing your daily intake of vitamin D3 and vitamin C (ascorbic acid) will help to avoid/treat flu symptoms. I take around 5,000 IU of D3 and 3-4,000 mg of C when I feel the threat of flu in winter.
White Willow Bark may help with the headache and temperature, but it is similar to aspirin, and has some drug interactions as well. https://www.natmedtalk.com/wiki/White_Willow
K2c, today I am feeling much better thanks! I take Virgin Coconut Oil and CS daily, without these I believe I'd be in real trouble! I also have Vit C in powder form!
I'm so glad you are doing better revzen. When you mentioned your daily coconut oil, I was reminded of a method of therapy that has benefited very many people for very many years. Used in ancient Ayurvedic medicine. You can use your coconut oil for this. I find sesame oil works best for me. I use this therapy when I begin to feel problems with my throat, like I might be getting some infection. I also gargle with CS for such things too.
Please consider this simple therapy on a daily basis. Easy to do while you are reading and participating in forums or watching TV for example. This is very simple, but very strong.
In the morning, before breakfast on an empty stomach you take one tablespoon in the mouth but do not swallow it. Move Oil Slowly in the mouth as rinsing or swishing and Dr Karach puts it as ' sip, suck and pull through the teeth' for fifteen to twenty minutes. This process makes oil thoroughly mixed with saliva. Swishing activates the enzymes and the enzymes draw toxins out of the blood. The oil must not be swallowed, for it has become toxic. As the process continues, the oil gets thinner and white. If the oil is still yellow, it has not been pulled long enough. It is then spit from the mouth , the oral cavity must be thoroughly rinsed and mouth must be washed thoroughly. Just use normal tap water and good old fingers to clean.
the primary reasons for oil pulling is to remove bacteria, parasites and other toxins from your teeth and mucus membranes, and detoxify. One study showcases the oil pulling benefits on the oral level, where oil pulling with sesame oil was shown to reduce the amount of streptococcus mutants in both teeth plaque and mouth saliva, and boost overall health. Another study also shows how oil pulling can result in a significant reduction in total bacteria count.
Overall strengthening of the teeth and gums and jaws.
Prevention of diseases of the gums and mouth, such as cavities and gingivitis.
Prevention of overall tooth decay
Prevention for bad breath
Potential holistic remedy for bleeding gums
Prevention of dryness of the lips, mouth and throat.
Possible holistic treatment for TMJ and general soreness in the jaw area.
Going by Dr. Karsch, oil pulling benefits can help with almost any illness or chronic condition, including: Mouth & gum disease; stiff joints; allergies; asthma; high blood sugar; constipation; migraines; bronchitis; eczema; heart, kidney, lung diseases; leukemia; arthritis; meningitis; insomnia; menopause (hormonal issues); cancer; AIDS; chronic infections; varicose veins; high blood pressure; diabetes; cracked heels; acne, arthritis; bronchitis; dermatitis; sinusitis; and many more.

Blessings to you K2c
Thanks Revzen, so happy to know you're feeling better!
It sounds like there's a connection, ear, nose and throat to be sure. The green nasal discharge I believe means infection.
To help remove phlegm/mucus from the lungs, Pleurisy Root Extract can possibly help.
For mucus/phlegm in the throat, Wild Cherry Bark is very effective. Both are liquid extracts, and the brand I use is Nature's Answer.
Hoping you feel better soon, ear infections can be quite painful.
Thanks k2c. Appreciate the advice and will be ordering Wild Cherry Bark after reading reviews.
Its like I have a constant infection 24/7, and today I feel like cr*p! Really awful today! I will be seeing my doctor within the next two weeks and asking him why!!! Not that I have any faith in them! Just want to see what he says - another blood test maybe........
Have you thought of using colloidal silver in a nebulizer for your lungs? I haven't done it yet, but I did buy what I need in case of pneumonia-like symptoms...would rather self-treat than take the junk the doctor dishes out.

k2c, damn good idea! I'll definitely check into that!
As for doctors, I don't trust them either! Don't take their junk either, but I may see if I can get a blood test as these infections are getting me down. Past two weeks I've been getting bad pain in my left hand in the bone, I have suffered with this off on and on for a few years.
Some of the pains and symptoms I'm experiencing, I'm wondering if the mobile phone mast 400 metres from where I live may have something to do with it?
Also a friend of mine says some of my symptoms may be due to the wire mesh I have holding my abdomen together from when I had surgery in 2004(large bowel removed & 4 weeks later another op). She says people in the US are filing compensation claims, but I've not heard anything here in the UK.
Just a few words on my ear infection. I like to experiment, and try new things out! Into my infected ear went Virgin Coconut Oil, and hey presto, overnight a vast improvement! That was day 1. Day 2 I applied more VCO throughout the day and the infection has almost gone!
Some good news
Makes a pleasant change!
I have ordered some Wild Cherry Bark, and hope it'll arrive in a few days!

That's wonderful Revzen! I'm a big fan of unrefined extra virgin coconut oil, a natural and safe alternative. I'll keep your good news in mind the next time I have any ear issues.
You should also have good results with the Wild Cherry Bark, I either put some into warm water and drink it, or I put it directly onto the back of my throat and let it drip down.
I haven't heard from Arrow, but she's a very smart and strong woman, and I'm sure she's doing just fine.
You can use the coconut oil to swish in your mouth in the mornings for 15-20 min. Then spit out and brush and rinse to remove all bacteria. It's not an oil recommended on the site https://oilpulling.com/, but I've used EVCO before like that, and soon afterward, if there was phlegm in the throat, it would be expelled.
k2c, the Wild Cherry Bark arrived on Saturday. I do feel some benefit, but am keeping to the instructions of no more than 6 tablespoons in 24 hours. Some people have remarked on the awful taste - but I quite like the taste of this medicine!
As for oil pulling, I will try this! Not yet though as things are too hectic!
WOW!! The Wild Cherry Bark I'm using is a concentrated tincture, the dosing recommendations on the little bottle is 1ml. (28 drops) a day. Of course I use more than the recommended dose on many supplements when I need to for illness.
I often use it full strength, dripping down my throat, as opposed to mixing with water. What you have sounds more like a cough medicine product, must be many other ingredients involved.
I thought I was ordering the tincture! Alas it was the syrup, but it is making a difference! Chest is feeling freer and less phlegmy. I may try again to get the tincture!
As for "overdosing", well, due to having no large/small bowel and a tempermental S Pouch, I can't afford to take any chances - laxative effect can be fatal for me so I always err on the side of caution!
As for the ingredients, yes there are plenty - all good thankfully!
