Default Chia seeds / fiber :) (anything to look out for?)

So.. ive had odd looking stools for quite a while now (2 years?) but lately things have been improving a lot due to some changes in my diet.

My stool would vary a lot but common themes were, green stool, varying between being too dry and knobbly and too liquidy.

Ive added quite a bit more fiber to my diet recently and its changed things a lot.. I feel like I wasnt getting enough fiber, or the right kinds for a long time.

I started making shakes w various powders in them, hemp powder, acai powder, cacao, chia/flax seed mix etc. + coconut..

and recently added in gluten free oats..

My stool has become much more well formed, and better color (brown) and its been consistent for a while now, so im very happy..

The past few days ive been using chia seeds and feel that its improved things even further..

I think because my stool was green a lot, it indicated that it was moving through my system too quickly, and chia seeds.. etc slow it down which is good for me.

Only problem is, I totally overdid the chia seeds the past few days.. apparently your only supposed to use like a tablespoon a day and ive had a few tablespoons each day.. I think it dehydrated my system a bit.. did it again this morning then I realized I was having way too much..

so now im going to cut back and have a tablespoon a day and let it soak in water first.

Apparently chia seeds absorb 10x there size in water.. so clearly they can by dehydrating if you dont hydrate properly.. however my concern is, if they absorb water, surely they absorb other liquids too.. are they going to be abosrbing all the digestive juices and moisture inside my body too? surely that can be good?

I also read that too much fiber can cause constipation.. funnily enough this morning I didnt have any urge, even after sitting on the toilet.. but then an hour later felt an urge, went to the bathroom and probably had the biggest BM of my life lol.. and it was well formed and brown just maybe a slight bit dry though.. so overall I think chia seeds are awesome so far if you take them in the right dose, I took too much, but I think when I find the right dose it will be very beneficial for me

Default

Also the past 2-3 days I noticed a slight increase in anxiety + waking up in the night + very very slight feeling of nausea once or twice.. nothing serious or anything but I wondered/wondering if the intense drying/dehydrating action of too much chia seeds may have caused these little symptoms.
