Clearly it should be labelled. We have 'Suitable for vegetarians/vegans' labelling here in the UK. An issue that raises such emotive moral reactions should be acknowledged in the same way, but as Stateside our Government doesn't require GM sourced food to be labelled as such. That being said responsible manufacturers here readily tap into the public mood by labelling 'GM free'. If it doesn't say 'GM free' then it's a reasonable assumption that the product does contain GM contents.
Just to add to the Gm foods we now have grapes with hormones in them to make them bigger, and heard on the Landline program that they will be adding hormones in the growing of Mango's to make them fruit all year around, is it any wonder that girls are developing so young these days.and more young men seem to be developing breasts as well.
I'm not sure how we'd keep genetically modified pollen from blowing around and contaminating other crops at this stage of the game..

The thing is is that you can't. It takes many miles of distance to protect quality seed as it is growing and still there is no guarantee.
Im looking for a nice concise artilce on GMO foods, no more that two pages to distrubute at the farmers market this year, if any one has one or a link please post it.
