I live in the USA and I've been ordering from swanson vitamins and have been extremely satisfied with price and quality, but I never shop around at all, so I'm not sure if there's any other decent competitor?
They seem to have good prices, but, I use Vitacost. They seem to be alot like Swanson, as they also have their own brand NSI, that you cannot find anywhere else, with a huge line of items of good quality that is most often cheaper than any offering you could find.
The thing is that Vitacost also always has constant sales and specials, for example they emailed me about a new deal on free shipping this Monday if you enter the source code: "CYBER". I just noticed that Swanson has a 99 cent shipping deal, which while good is not up the Vitacost offer. Also the actual website of Swanson seems quite inferior to Vitacost.
Sometimes I also go to Vitamin Shoppe, a vitamin chain store in person, especially if they have a sale or this independently owned local place. But this local store has a pretty big markup and I don't have that much money, but I still figure I have to give them some business every once in a while so they don't go under.

The vitamin C that you use contains magnesium stearate.
This is a flow agent, that is used as a lubricant, to prevent the capsule making machines from becomming jammed.
Magnesium stearate coats the intestines with a thin film, which over time will prevent you from absorbing nutrients. There is no need to use magnesium as a flow agent when there are much better alternatives.
People need to become aware of this problem and start demanding manufacturers change their proceedures.
Magnesium stearate is also in the D3 and St. Johns Wort as well. You have to check the label and understand what these "extra" ingredients do.
Your health depends on it.

Pinballdoctor, I read your post and realized that the NSI Vitamin C+Quercetin I was gonna order has that ingredient too. So I searched and found this article: Buzzle: Magnesium Stearate in Vitamins
It says that cocoa for example, has much than vitamins do, so that should not be a problem. But I also find this article from the same site that warns against it: https://www.buzzle.com/articles/magne...te-danger.html
Where did you get your info from that it is harmful and why do you think it is true?
@pinballdoctor:
I found this article through the comments section of the article you posted that debunks that: Wellness Resources: The Facts on Magnesium Stearate
It says that contrary to creating biofilm, magnesium stearate inhibits it.
Honestly, I don't really trust Mercola too much for health advice. When I subscribed to his newsletter it was in marketing speak:

If you notice it is in an annoying marketing style speak that on purpose does not summarize the article, instead it seeks to create interest and mystery to get you to click. Naturalnews does the opposite, their newsletter contains the actual titles and a portion of the first paragraph from their articles. So just from reading Mercola newsletter you will never learn anything, the whole purpose is to elicit a hit to their website.

Thanks I checked the few really quick and the prices seem to be nearly identical. How much do they typically charge for shipping? Swanson charges I believe 4.95 regardless of how much you order, so typically I order a bunch of stuff at once. Googling for a few minutes normally gets me the shipping down to 2 dollars or so with a coupon code.
Do they also have deals like buy one get one free at times? Swanson seems to have them, but it seems only when I'm completely stocked up on my vitamins and I don't need them.
I never had my levels checked, but decided to start taking vitamin D after everything I read from mood to cold/flu improvements during the winter. I live in Florida and I'm outside during the winter I'm sure than a lot of people in other states.
I only take 1,000 ui in the morning and I've noticed a huge change in my mood. Not sure if I doubled or took 5 times that amount that amount if it's needed.
Just wondering why you don't order everything from one place? Is it because of quality or price? I just did a search on the vitamin C and iherb was a lot more expensive.
Honestly, I don't really trust Mercola too much for health advice.
If you watch the video that I posted, you would realize the speaker is Dr. Dietrich Klinghardt, MD, PhD and not doctor Mercola.
It is Klinghardt that states magnesium stearate damages the immune system, as well as preventing absorbtion of nutrients. He also states that people should avoid capsules that contain titanium dioxide because it causes serious immune disfunction.
You can believe what you want about magnesium stearate, however, the research that I've done shows it to be harmful, not beneficial to health.
On a final note, Dr. Klinghardt isn't selling anything..

I agree with PBD. Most cautions say "in large quantities". But over time, it accumulates. Does not digest well.
I just found a new supplement vendor. Free shipping. I was looking for Lactic Acid Yeast. It is not easy to find Standard Process formulas without going through a health care professional. I only bought a little my first time. I like to see how valid a vendor really is before really shopping. I'm excited to find someone with interesting product labels. https://www.vitalbee.com/
Like most of us, I shop at iHerb and Swansonvitamins.

I just saw that amazon has a subscribe and save for many vitamins that I never noticed before. If it's part of subscribe and save, you never pay for shipping and it's 15% off the already low price and you can cancel the subscription any time.
You have the option of automatic monthly, every other month, every 6 moths...etc
The protein powder I normally buy I noticed it was by far the cheapest and if you subscribe it's another 6 dollars off. What's really nice is that before I had to stack things up to 25 dollars at amazon to get free shipping, now they have even 7 dollar items if you subscribe and save on the list, plus you'll get 15% for signing up.
I'm not sure why these vitamin places like swanson don't do something like this. I would even be happy to qualify for free shipping if I'm ordering once every other month.
I find Iherb to be very reliable and fast shipping. I usually get product with in a week from them. If it is your first time buying use code CUL361 and save $5.
Vitacost seems to have a bigger selection but, I find they are very slow with shipping. They also don't update your account very well as I had a shipments come in, that were in "not shipped" status in my account. So far I have gotten everything from them that I ordered.
At the risk of sounding unethical, idiotic, stupid, moronic, unreasonable and foolish, if someone visits IHERB with the intent to buy, would they be able to obtain their own discount code?
